Ivan Mauger Farewell Tour

Just wondering if anyone could tell me the troupe members of Ivan Mauger's farewell tour in the New Zealand 1985~86 season (I think!). I remember turning up at the Ruapuna meeting on a Sunday with my Dad (it was meant to be an afternoon event) and the event was postponed because of heavy rain. We saw Ivan walking around in the pits and that was it. The event was rescheduled and held the next night, but we didn't get to go because we had to return home to work the next day and lived a long way away. To say I was gutted would be an understatement! For some crazy reason I have always been interested in knowing who I missed out on seeing...hope you can help me out!

Thanks a lot Arnieg.

That looks like quite a good line-up! I guess I missed a great night's racing. I did get to Mauger's Christchurch longtrack Grandprixs in later years (1992-93 ish) - they were top nights. It was great seeing Mauger do a match race (with PC I think) and seeing Shirra & Wigg (who were both at the top of their game at that time) race. Unfortunately, speedway in NZ is at an all-time low these days. I remember going with my Dad to the track and watching Briggs and Mauger - along with other stars of the time - battle it out. Oh for the days of old!
