Congratulations to Chris Holder on being the 2011 Australian Champ

There was a race off for 2nd and 3rd place and if I have my sums correct it ends up as follows:

Chris Holder 69

Darcy Ward 63

Dave Watt 63

Rory Schlein 62

Cameron Woodward 55

Cory Gathercole 52

Justin Sedgmen 51

Kozza Smith 50

Ty Proctor 50

Sam Masters 42

Richard Sweetman 38

Kyle Newman 31

Jason Doyle 29

Taylor Poole 17

Arlo Bugeja 16

Mitchell Davey 9

Robert Medson 7

Brock Gates 4

R Sedgeman 0

A close series but some very long meetings by the sounds of it.

Congratulations, Chris!

Well done to Darcy Ward - still only 18 years old!

Pleased to see Davey got through the rounds to get a place in the GP Qualifiers and also, great to see Rory make it to the Qualifiers this year.

Finally, a big "Well Done" to Kyle Newman, who was rather thrown in at the deep end, but has done himself, his family, marcis the pom, his supporters et al proud

A bit lubricated after the event as usual, but I made it to the Clubhouse to thank my heroes personally - couldn't shake hands with Chris - we contented ourselves with a low-key High Five - I don't think there's one single piece of him that doesn't ache!

Sandie yer sums are all to - erm - how can I put this - well anyhow for starters Ryan S. got two points tonight as first reserve - had to take over from Mitch Davey after he Kummagutza and injured his hand, forcing him to withdraw from the meeting.

Incidentally Brock Gates, who rode in place of Taylor Poole, also had a few outings swinging on a Sidecar - not often you see that these days.

I've just quickly looked at the final results. No surprises there. The top Aussie riders took all the top places. Gathercole, Woodward, Sedgmen still can be called "second line" in the Aussie arsenal. From the looks of things I would say we can clearly see who will most likely represent Australian in the World Cup.

Congratulations Chris and Redloh team.
