The full team is named on Mike Manning's newport site, according to that the line up is:

1. Jay Herne

2. Todd Kurtz

3. David Gough

4. Richard Andrews

5. Matthew Bates

6. Tom Young

7. James White Williams

(not in riding order)

Looks a strong team :D

I expect Toddy to up his average to 10. Herne with his injury last year might drop it slightly but shouldn't expect much. Around 10 too. what a top two we have. Andrews got better last year, a lot. As did Tom Young and James. Matt Bates has always been pretty good and David Gough should hold his own. Not too bad at all :D

Delighted for Batesy to be fixed up, he is well up for this season, hopefully he will have a good year, he's more than capable!

My worry with that team is that Andrews and Gough will be at reserve, both great triers but not sure if they will be able to add much on their averages. Great to see the team full of young British talent though. Well done to the promotion!

I would also like to wish Matt and David all the best for this year with Newport, will miss Matt in the pits before the meetings on fridays, allways up for a chatt,so is David, and i also wish David an injury free year, the lad had some bad luck last year with injurys, because of the 100% he gives in every race, he and Matt will give 100% to Newport you can be sure of that.

I'm not going to say it looks a strong team, but it is a team which will give 5 guys at the bottom end plenty of opportunity to improve.

In my opinion that's all you can ask for.

.......and that's exactly what we want from our NL team; if there was any other reason we'd have signed a heap of superannuated riders - I look forward to watching the team mature through the season. Go the Mighty HORNETS!

Agree. All we need is JWW, Tom & Matt to ave a little bit more ie 5-6 and we will have a solid side. They are all capable of that imo.

Andrews & Gough should be good at home.

Herne & Kurtz will be super strong & will be battling to be the divisions top rider.

With the strong top two that you have, they should be good for double points home and away, the rest of the team only need to be improvers for you to be up there challenging for Honours, at the moment its difficult to call who will or who wont be up at the Top.

Definitely Agree, im looking forward to the NL so much this year, be good to see some new teams....and be good to see the legions of heathens fans going everywhere again....

Hope Stoke have a good season though, for there fans. Hope C Wright & Brundle ride this year too.

If you think Kurtz, Herne, Roynon, Lambert,Armstrong,Branford,Garrity,Mallett, Brundle?, C Wright?

Thats without mentioning the likes of Morris, Birks, The Worralls, Perry who will all be up there too.

Matt Bates was a 6 point rider in 2009. If he can back to that it would be great.

JWW has definately got it in him to get to 6 points. Lightening gater, perhaps held back by mechanical gremlins in 2010.

Tom started last season on fire, riding the white line at home like he was on rails. If he can refind that form he'll put points on his average.

Not seen much of Richard or David recently but hopefully they will improve too.
