Roger MARTIN
I think uncle Len has made a big mistake in letting Rob Smith go, in my opinion he should have kept Rob, signed Ben Hopwood, and got rid of Mason, i think signing Ben is a very good move because he is very good around Rye, but letting Rob go is not a very good move for me, i would have kept Barry Evans or David Mason, not both, Danny Halsey is a much better rider than Mason, surely when you put a team together its not about the past, and riders that have left the team, if you are going to charge £12, you have to get it right, im not saying David Mason is not a good rider, what im saying is their are better riders around than him that would do a much better job for the team, i think David Masons best days are gone, its crucial you have riders in your team that other teams fear, i see that in Barry Evans, but i dont see that in David Mason, thats just my opinion, we had the same situation at Plymouth with two older riders in the team, and i dont think it did us any favers when coming up against teams with young up and coming good riders, with a will to win, this year you can count on one hand the amount of riders in the NL that are PL standard, last year the league was full of riders riding in both NL and PL, so i think this year it is a true NL, so teams cannot use that has an excuse for not doing well. Rockets
I like Danny but I still think David Mason is a very useful guy to have around. I think he had an injury or illness for much of last year but when he was fit he scored plenty of handy points and has a lot of experience at this level to pass onto what is a pretty inexperienced team. Roger MARTIN
Well their is no excuse this year for him not scoring points, appart from Simon Lambert,Adam Roynon, Paul Cooper and Jay Herne he should with his experience be one of the best in the NL, but i have a feeling he wont, a rider with his experience should be up with the likes of James Cockle and Danny Warwick, with a cma of around 7+ not 5+. Who's Jay riding for in the NL in '11..? BTW, the fixtures page on BSPA site lists the 9 April match as Rye House vs. Team USA... Disappointing that they can't get it right and mention this'll be Hackney's opening meeting!!

Roger MARTIN
One rider i do expect to do well this year if he stays injury free is Marc Owen, i saw him at the SBA just before he got injured, and he was very quick, and had a great style about him for a very young rider, and i think that if he had not been injured last year he would have finished the year has one of the top riders in the NL, so i think this year Marc will make a big impact in the NL. Rockets
To be honest Roger I think it could be a big year for all of the kids. Marc does need an injury free run. He took too many knocks last year but when he was injury free he flew. Ben is another. His progress is remarkable. I think i'm right in saying that hes only been riding aspeedway for two and a bit years. I think Shane is a dark horse. I think he had equipment issues last season but has tons of potential. Brandon I dont know anything about but the comments about him seem very positive. I dont know very much about Hopwood either but neither Len or Cook are mugs and they must have seen something they like.

We have some outstanding young talents in the Hackney line up and i know several of them will be going for the number one spot in the team before the end of the season. Ben Morley already has a Premier place with the Rockets and Marc ,Shane ,Brandon and even 20 yr old Ben Hopwood will be looking to catch the eye of premier league promoters this year..It is going to be an exciting season for everyone as these young riders look to make strides towards their racing progress.. Shadders
£34 for the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) to watch NL racing at Rye House? ... No thanks!!

Ben91
£34 for FOUR doesn't sound that bad to me.... Realistically how much LESS would you expect to be charged...? Yes it is... 2 adults and 2 children could get into Mildenhall for £26, that's £8 saved. Spread that over the season of league matches and there's a big difference £306 at Rye and £234 at Mildenhall. That's £72 saving. I will support the Hawks and watch their results but will be picking and choosing meetings because there's no way to justify such high prices, especially in a stadium where you don't have to pay rent. If Len gambled and charged £10 a meeting at NL level, I bet the stadium would be almost as full as a Rockets match each time the Hawks race. It's the same price at Kings Lynn and only a couple of quid more at Lakeside which is comparable with Rye House as it's only just "down the road", plus the fact you'll be watching the exact same side!! Unfortunately my two sprogs fall into the bracket where I have to pay for both ... I'd gladly pay £12 each for me and the OH if the kids got in for a quid or two each ... If Mr Silver wants the Hawks to perform in front of 200-300 fans every week he's going the right way about it. The four of us won't be among them Edited March 6, 2011 by Shadders

Roger MARTIN
Dont they do a family ticket, i think Plymouth did a family ticket for £22 last year, £34 for a NL meeting for a family of four is way to high.

JC!
£34 for the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) to watch NL racing at Rye House? ... No thanks!! Totally agree for 3rd division racing. If you have kids £34 is steep, especially compared to other activities: - Greyhounds at romford would be £20 (free on a Sat morning) - Cinema £25 for family (£10 on weekend mornings) - Transport Museum - £27 for annual passes for all 4 Surely Len would get more from the concessions via higher admissions if he reduced the prices even a bit?
