Guest Mike
In the 50s my father used to take me to Odsal and I thoroughly enjoyed my times there. Years later I took my son to the Shay to see Halifax and became obsessed with the wonderful talent of Kenny Carter. I remember one night staying awake to hear the world finals from America when Kenny came on the intercom over some dispute or other andI thought what a nutter. But I never waivered in my love for his riding. Then all hell broke loose and he killed himself. I have never been to a speedway meeting since. Am I sick or what?
