samthepalaceman2
Thanks. I'm pretty sure that even the Eastbourne management aren't that stupid in not giving him enough meetings to become an asset.
f-s-p
Timo Lahti to Eastbourne Eagles, rides next monday against the Wolves, taken from lracing.tk. It was bit of an embarrasement sitting on a livingroom sofa in Edinburgh and watch Taylor Poole on TV when I've told everyone it was gonna be Timo Lahti. It was not my mistake though and he's now in. I really do hope that he'll still ride the big Finnish meetings, it would be a real lost to us (Finnish speedway) if he didn't. Jouni Seppänen was elected to the management board of the Finnish federation a week ago. Track racing has it's own rep in the board again after a few years of absence. The Finnish 80cc riders are riding in Eskilstuna this (easter) weekend and a few riders are at Varkaus practising speedway. A week a go the now traditional season opener in Hallstavik was organised and things went well again. Teemu Lahti had a really good weekend and was the best man on show. Niko Siltaniemi totally wrecked one of his bikes but is OK. Also Miikka Hyyryläinen and Vili Mattila had dates with the fence but no serious damage there either. Jari Mäkinen had a mechanical nightmare in sundays meetings and Timo Lahti was absent with his Eastbourne practise session in Arlington. SGP will now be shown on Finnish TV as Nelonen Pro has made a deal to show it. Yrjö Laukkanen (Kaj's dad) will be the pro-commentator with someone I've not heard doing the bigger part of speaking. At least speedway is on after Canal+ dropped Elitserien in Finland.
Icicle
Good luck in getting Updates together! Hope in near future Marko Hyyrylainen manages to get on International stage, as would like to hear the great difficulty Pearson & Tatum would have with his name! The World needs more "unpronouncable" Finnish names! Edited May 11, 2011 by icicle

He's 17 and started on the big bikes last year with -11 being his first competiteve season.

Vicar
Who is Jyri Viemerö and Marko Toikka? They did well. Is Miikka Hyyrylainen brother of Marko? Edited May 18, 2011 by Vicar
f-s-p
Who is Jyri Viemerö and Marko Toikka? They did well. Is Miikka Hyyrylainen brother of Marko? I think they are cousins but a friend is saying not related at all. Maybe by searching the forum you'll find the answer as this has been asked before and I did find out. Jyri Viemerö has ridden before but kept a break for 10 or so years before now. Marko and Pekka Toikka are both newcomers for this season, I have no better info on them other than they are from Karhula (Kotka).

f-s-p
why Lebedevs did not ride for Keittiöpiste ? He was certain to come on saturdays info but then it turned out that the ferry's timetables did not work out. There's a huge debate going on regarding his average. In the rulebook it says that U17 riders coming up from 80cc are on 0,00 points and there's this one minor difference of an opinion, when they actually step up? Is it the moment that they ride in their first meeting on 500cc or is it the end of the year when they turned 16...
