Coventry 99 % Certain To Be In Elite Next Season Acording To Sandu

Recommended Posts

Not serious - but it looks as if there should be the happy smiling family in the left of the photo - but its just a barren floor...oh dear !

Coventry - at least let your own fans know whats going on. On the other hand perhaps it's the BSPA's job to put a few words together - oh, obviously I can see the problem now...

Perhaps there is nothing new to say! After all, nobody knows for certain IF there was a meeting today - it hasn't been substantiated anywhere. It was merely a new topic on this Forum - but nobody knows where the information came from.

Perhaps covlad459, who started this thread is having a good laugh at all these comments!

I'd heard from more than one person that there was a meeting today, though perhaps they all got the same duff info! I can't believe they wouldn't be trying to thrash this out, and expect news before the end of week, personally.

I can't believe that a simple Xmas greeting has illicited such a response.

As has been pointed out, there has been no official announcement that there was ever going to be any meeting today. Someone may have been simply speculating, "99% certain according to Sandhu", but who if anyone did he speak to. This whole thread may be based around the false premise that it's title is actually a true statement. Like many of the threads devoted to or diverted toward this situation, there are no absolute facts other than this one "As it stands neither Peterborough or Coventry speedways run next year"

Incidentally I totalled up the replies to the various threads on this ( and yes I probably should get out more!! :D), as of saturday evening there were 6,500 replies, not including the Peterborough (rip) one as that was started months ago and re-titled, pretty impressive when none of us actually know anything concrete!! When it comes to speculation, this one hell of a place to be. :D

And out of the arched window, i can see Sandhu dressed as a Snowman. :D And if you look carefully theres 9 presents round the Christmas Tree, 7 riders a No 8 and Rosco  or perhaps its there P45's

I see Santa's got a big brown bag over his shoulder - is that the cash from the sale of the stadium for real estate?

By the way, we've heard a lot from the Cov Shop Boy - for a change, how about hearing from the

Blame the person who started this thread, he happens to be a Coventry fan? Who knows NOTHING!!

A comment on Lewis's Facebook stated

"An article appeared on the acu website stating an agreement had been reached for coventry to re-declare their side for the 2011 Elite League. however this article appeared without permission and I guess lawyers had it removed from the acu site. So it was out there .... then it was gone again...but i suggest its a done deal"

Didn't see anything myself as having been watching that site, anyone else see it?

I asked the question on page 2 about where has the '99% certain' stuff come from. Strangely the OP has not returned to the thread...unless they have a different log in of course! - and yet almost 40 pages later the same old arguments continue....zzzzzz -_-

Surely you're not suggesting that someone has posted something that is factually incorrect? :o

The BSF could lose all integrity.

Is that suposed to be some kind of joke by the Coventry promotion??

This was released by the promotion on the Coventry website????

I guess from this they were very unsuccessful. Obviously they must have tried before they entered the talks and said they were going to release an official statement after the talks.

Since the statement was this bland....it doesn't take much to figure they didn't get nowhere.

IMO.

A very bad one!! Unless it is a coded message that good news is on the way...

....Christmas is coming

They are a joke.

Bring in the firing squad, wishing their fans a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year is nothing short of a disgrace!:lol:

I unreservedly apologise but I didn't make the comment - I merely pointed out that I didn't know what it meant and I wish I hadn't asked

I know mate. the person that made it carries the disgrace.

They join Coventry in the Elite League

Err, hasnt your promotion already stated he wont run due to costs?

i do hope there is a way back for them tho.

Haven't read all the thread but is there an attribution anywhere which justifies its title (ie quotes Mr Sandhu as saying Coventry are 99 per cent certain to be in the Elite League next season)?

There isnt any link to it so i guess its started as a rumour.

So why is there a meeting of the BSPA + Coventry today? I'm guessing they're not swapping cake recipes.

How do we know there even was a meeting today or even going to be one? Neither Cov or the BSPA has issued news of a meeting taking place.

I'm new to this forum and have just trawled through these 33 pages and I have to say how pathetic some of this actually is.

Yes, I'm a Bees fan who was gutted by the recent news.

I think all parties are entitled to their own opinion and, in turn, they will all feel that they are correct in their views.

However, what I believe this does reveal is that whilst this wonderful sport is run predominantly by the owners of the clubs, there will always be turmoil and disagreement.

The sooner we all come to our senses and allow a neutral governing body to take charge and set rules for the good of the sport, the sooner the league will even itself out and run on a more even keel and, each season, the best team will succeed.

Come on guys and gals, let's agree to disagree and see this wonderful sport we all love move forward in a sensible manner.

So long as ALL promoters work together!!!!!

Has it not occurred to you that Coventry and Peterborough might actually have grounds for a legal challenge.

It appears to me that two promoters have been tried and convicted without hearing the evidence.

Might it also be the case that there are no such grounds ??

We've all stuck our penny's worth of knowledge and rumours on all the threads regarding Coventry & Peterborough.

Is it now time we allow the mods to close these threads until hard evidence has been proven one way or another???

Not at all. Its a forum to discuss issues and rumours - not quote facts. Thats what the clubs websites do.

Look to the right of that statement and you can see a box that states "See you all in March 2011' :approve::D

I don't know if it's new info - 'cos I'm not a Bees supporters...

Thats interesting - bet it was there from end of season tho.

I wonder why all the secrecy?????

I am not convinced there was a full meeting of the BSPA today.

If rules are to be changed, it would all need to be ratified by an egm.

Don't think they had one of those today.

Maybe wrong - just my feeling on the situation.

Theres been no official mention of it - just reports in local papers.
