BigFatDave
Managed to catch up with the rest of the thread after a pleasant stroll down the Beach and some Brekkie, so here goes: Tony McCoy is a horse racing jockey. Is that the REAL McCoy? I cannot believe that Coventry fans can be so arrogant as to blame anyone other than their own management for this mess. No disrespect intended, but you must have been living under a rock lately, Jack, not to notice the ignorance & arrogance exuding from that quarter since before the play-offs. no one on here knows anything as yet God knows how many threads, pages and posts have contributed to this sorry tale; all full of sound & fury, signifying nothing. So, for the last three weeks you've been banging on about the situation being Matt Ford / Poole's fault. This week it's all King's Lynn's fault that Coventry are out of the Elite League. It's getting harder & harder to keep up with the Coventry Conspiracy Theorists, Screamer. I can't believe that people actually took Rosco's bait. He was taking the michael, pulling ones leg, extracting the urine, it was a wind up for God's sake, why would a speedway club be signing a national hunt jockey???!!!!!!??? After the Play-offs last year, where it helped to be a Motocross Rider in the first leg, I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to bring in even more hurdles rather than risk a level playing field - or track for that matter. OK, seconds out, round 4,956,453.

But by an Aussie gp rider who bottled it, averaged 4.80 over tone two legs A gp rider who couldn't beat a 17 year old pole at his home track, Thats why Poole lost Shamek ia a smokescreen can we move on now? Steve0
An absolutely disgraceful comment I unreservedly apologise but I didn't make the comment - I merely pointed out that I didn't know what it meant and I wish I hadn't asked
Daniel Smith
The King's Lynn promotion did get back to me on Bookface last night and have advised that none of the Peterborough riders are included in the transfer embargo.
Nutz
Really can't be bothered to read 27pages of bitchin', so if anyone would be courteous enough to answer me this simple question.. What happens to Peterborough when this little stunt is all over?

Rigsby
They join Coventry in the Elite League I keep looking at the proposed teams for various clubs and I think that at their next meeting the BSPA should consider a re-branding of the product because "Elite" doesn't really fit Edited December 20, 2010 by Rigsby
Sir Jasper
They join Coventry in the Elite League I can see another row brewing as Kings Lynn are apparently saying the Pboro riders are not under a transfer embargo therefore they have signed Iversen and Bjerre. The whole thing is a complete mess.

The whole thing is a complete mess. With Andersen and Batchelor still not signed (and Rooboy if Coventry don't use him) there's still scope for an EL team without those signed elsewhere. no-brakes-uk
They join Coventry in the Elite League Now I'm confused. Is this fact? Because it has always been stated that Peterborough couldn't afford EL and wanted to go PL, hence their top riders being released. What a great advertisement for the sport this crazy mess is. No, they couldn't justify losses with the current rules. Thats not cannot afford. I cannot justify buying a Kia Picanto because they're rubbish. I can afford a Kia Picanto. If some rules has changed (due to a compramise) maybe Rick Frost can now justify the losses. If you expect someone to lose 150k, you have to give them some glimmer of hope, you're not going to lose 150k to be whipping boys and have no fun, you'll find a new way to have fun spending 150k (and I'm sure nobody needs telling how much fun it could be to spend 150k in a year!) wjm
I haven’t read through all of this thread. When is this all expected to be cleared up so that Coventry assets can sign for other clubs?
oboe
I have to strongly disagree with you on this .... This mess IS Coventry's making - they walked out of the AGM and by doing so caused a string of events that we could all have done without. There are ways and means of dealing with situations and quite frankly walking out leaves you without a leg to stand on!! Not if you are an Austrailian called Jake !! Fourentee
Haven't read all the thread but is there an attribution anywhere which justifies its title (ie quotes Mr Sandhu as saying Coventry are 99 per cent certain to be in the Elite League next season)?
