hyderd
Surely this latest twist ONLY involves Coventry,P/Bora declared they did not want to compete in the 2011 EL (whatever the reason only R Frost and his Management team will know it)and riders from P/Bora signed for the newly promoted KL,to recall P/Bora now to the EL along with their KL signed riders will only widen relationships with other PL clubs and the joke that is currently called the Elite League. We are supposed to be a professional sport, its time 1 or 2 promoters realised this.
SCB
See Coventry didn't win Team of the year, or didn't even get a look in, as i said, a block of enpty seats, couldn't be Coventrys could they?? Perhaps they were stopped at the door No doubt those creaming their pants last week at the "coverage" will now come and claim some conspiracy. speedibee
No team would step up without some sort of incentive. If they couldn't put together a half decent team what would be the point? to make up the minmum number required for sky tv package
doc61
No one has said that Cov were not deserved champions. However the loophole which was exploited by Cov to ultimately defeat Poole had to be closed. No one is arguing with that. the loophole has to be closed. what people are arguing with is the fact that pawlicki did not earn an average last season under the rules that were in place at the time.one seasons finishing average is the following seasons starting average. pawlicki should start 2011 as 4.00, now close the loophole to say that "the new rule" which we dont actually know what it is yet comes into force for the end of 2011 to start 2012. And no i am not a coventry fan far from it
John Leslie
Sorry but there is right way to announce club news and whatever you may think of anyone else its NOT through Facebook You do realise that Tony McCoy isn't really signing for Coventry don't you? SCB
I agree but he is not still involved in the running of a club. Sorry but there is right way to announce club news and whatever you may think of anyone else its NOT through Facebook Not really sure what this has to do with that bloke anyway. Its Rossiter that was the unprofessional one or would you be happy that all yoru clubs PR is done through Facebook Rosco has NOT announced any signing on facebook. Some people lack of sporting knowledge about those who have been nominated for the SPOTY award seem to have got themselves confused. It was a joke about signing one of the guy nominated for the SPOTY award tonight.

The White Knight
You need to get over yourself. Poole were beaten by the better team and that team was Coventry. I wish some of you would stop keep reverting it back to Poole. It's only a sport which we should all enjoy. There are much bigger issues going on in this world at present. Get over myself!!! I think you need to take a look at the Posts of some of your compatriot Supporters on here. I have never read so much vicious bile in all my life. Mostly, it must be said, from Poole Supporters. Obviously, to me anyway, all this bitterness towards Coventry must come from somewhere. I can only assume that most of the Poole Supporters are very bitter about losing the Play Offs - I know I would be. Granted Coventry were the better Team over the two leg Final - BUT - League Champions - I don't think so. My way would solve that problem - can YOU think of anything better??? Remember Speedway is a great Family Sport - we, it's Supporters should be all pulling in the same direction to end all of this friction. This rubbish isn't why I go to Speedway - I go for the love of it, the excitement and most of all the companionship of ALL Supporters no matter who they may support. Yes mate, we lost the play off's and before you say anything, theres not a fan on here who would like to see Coventry out of the league, but their promotion has made a rod for their own backs, and some of the Coventry fans have not helped their cause!! Many, perhaps even a majority, of threads in the EL section of the BSF usually descend into a Poole-Coventry spat at one stage or another. The support of both clubs just don't seem to be able to resist laying in to one another, usually with Mr Shovlar leading the charge for the Poole side and Mr Cooke for the Coventry side. They'll probably have a spat now about whom I should have named first.

Pawlicki was clearly riding above that average and but for the manipulation would have finished on 6.18.
BigFatDave
It is impossible for an englishman to open his mouth without making some other englishman hate or despise him.George Bernard Shaw I'm amazed it took an Irishman to work that out. except it wasn't 7, far from it. There is a suggestion that there we're abstentions. Another Scoop? Another imaginary straw to be clutched at? One thing's for sure, there's some appalling punctuation in this post. So are you going to "stick to your guns" if the BSPA back down and walk away from Speedway? What planet do some of these posters live on? THE BSPA back down and walk away from Speedway? Whatever next? i think speedibee might be a bit over the top By his standards shall he be judged. gyppos only take from society from the day they are born and as such society owes them nothing , they are vermin and I personally would exterminate them if it were at all possible. Tomorrow will reveil all!!!! I think everything's been pretty veiled so far, no need to re-veil it. That's caught up to page 18 - I'll have another go later, Unlike some people I have a life to get on with. doc61
However. I am sure it has already been stated that every riders finishing average has to be ratified by the BSPA. Pawlicki was clearly riding above that average and but for the manipulation would have finished on 6.18. the problem with this is that the BSPA needs to look at everyones average then. where do they draw the line. tape touching , engine failures anything to get the average down. i am not defending coventry in the spirit of the law but when it comes to it they never actually broke the rules. Its up to the authorities to say we have been stung [no pun intended] by the bees we must ensure this doesnt happen again. so from now on this is what happens. give us facts and figures that are definitive. if pawlicki is given 6.18 because he done 11 what happens next year if a rider does 10. As much as it bugs me coventry didnt break the rules.
Dogstar
If Peterborough now decide they wanted to ride EL, if Bjerre has signed for Kings Lynn in 2011 there is nothing Peterborough can do about it as the most recent contract is the "live" contract. Peterborough would have given permission to KL for Bjerre to sign so they can't suddenly go back after the deal is done. If Bjerre has signed a contract, he is a KL rider in 2011. Maybe the BSPA siezed the Peterborough assets in the same way they were siezing Coventry's, only for the threat of legal action to reverse that decision? Guess we will hear soon enough what's happening and I'm sure there will be much to debate over Christmas and beyond.

Daniel Smith
most of the decent fans from all leagues could see why Kings Lynn were enticed into the elite league and how without their actions at the eleventh hour this whole situation would have had to be resolved 4 weeks ago . So, for the last three weeks you've been banging on about the situation being Matt Ford / Poole's fault. This week it's all King's Lynn's fault that Coventry are out of the Elite League. You're so blinded you've been stung in both eyes by your promotion. YOUR PROMOTION ONLY HAVE THEMSELVES TO BLAME. <unnecessary personal abuse removed>
Barney Rabbit
How are Poole going to do that? There's no room. We have announced Holder, Ward and Watt, with Gafurov and Andersson. No room here. The bit you highlighted was no more than a flippant comment. You conveniently ignored the crux of my posting - the fact that Poole ALLOWED one of their top two to move but that Coventry HAD to release one of their top two under the new ruling. speedibee
And I am sure they would like to know that one of their so called fans is telling away fans they won't be missed. Then why dont you copy and paste the post and send it to them , I'm sure Matt Ford would like know how you have single handedly made his club and the supporters of it totally despised by hundreds of forum members and speedway fans alike
