What's wrong with the existing Coventry threads? Surely we don't need yet another one especially since it's saying nothing new.

Because most people do not have time to go through reading page after page of crap on the other main threads.

This thread says what we all want to know, and no doubt would of been missed by alot if it was on the other thread.

would love to see Peterborough back alongside the Bees in the Elite League. if they are then KIngs Lynn , will have to give the Bung back that they recieved to prop the Elite league up ,and probably won't be able to afford him anyway , serves them right as well , because without those backstabbers at the NA things would not have gone as far as they already have anyway

:lol:fighting0092.gif

The arrogance of some people is unbelievable.

Everyone will be quite happy to see your side return yet you'd be quite happy to see another destroyed

God knows I have no love of KL but this statement is so far from any sort of truth as to be in another Galaxy.

What bung? There was none.

What backstabbing? Or are you refering to trying to hold the league to ransom?

Chances are without KL and Brum Sky would have pulled the plug a month ago and there would be no EL for Coventry to return to.

Ridiculous.

It seems you have that the wrong way round!

According to Mr. Sandhu's statement of 10th December, it was Coventry and Peterborough who offered mediation to the BSPA

OOOOOH!.... Did I dare post something that was factually incorrect? Guess I should be warned or maybe get an instant ban from the forum.

Exsqueeze me please! ;)

Ive seen it many times, don't know what you've been doing! They've already said they will not run because of the cost.

No, you have been putting 2 and 2 together and going up with 7. We cannot justify or endorse losses of c£140,000 per season in order for Peterborough Speedway to remain in the Elite League and feel that some of the rule changes voted in at the recent BSPA AGM will only serve to increase such losses. We therefore had no option other than to make the painful decision not to remain in the Elite League for 2011.

Says they won't run under the proposed rules.

Oh right the chapmans just happened to change their mind out of the blue and when they had already started team building and had been added to the fixtures list of the premier league and do something that they have been saying for about 5 seasons they had no intention of ever doing , right at the time when the bspa were reduced in numbers below their operational minimum for sky tv's participation , that's not backstabbing the two teams who are at loggerheads with bspa and weakening there bargaining power , Just what Galaxy are you from . if you believe the timing of the kings lynn turnaround was anything other than stage managed by the Bspa , Utterly Ridicoulus

Im on Planet Earth! like alot of the supporters. Maybe you should make contact with your lawyer as you seem to have all the answers about the bungs that are going on. Or maybe you may need one yourself if you keep throwing wild false un-founded statements out.

Seems pretty clear to me - the man says his team will NOT be running in the EL in 2011. The reason being that having made substantial losses, he feels the rules agreed at the AGM will increase those losses!! So what are you arguing about?

i think speedibee might be a bit over the top but i would also expect kings lynn to be in the premier league 2012 if coventry and panthers were back in the elite league.

If Peterborough and Coventry go back into the elite league , it would not suprise me at all if Kings Lynn were back in the premier in 2011 , having served their purpose they are now surplus to the BSPA and sky tv's requiremnets

It doesn't matter whether it's full or not. There's not a chance of us being PL for 2011. Apart from Olly Allen all our riders have signed elsewhere so we'd have no team at all.

We will be EL but we may end up having to rebuild our team again

what it says is that under the new rules they do not want to go in the elite, it does not say they wouldnt compete if some of the rules they didnt like changed!

You'd like to think that if there was ever any possibility of P'boro competing in the EL in 2011 then their riders wouldn't have been allowed to sign for other clubs while the club's position was being sorted out.

While I would very much like P'boro back in the EL I'd also like Bjerre & Puk to honour the contracts they have agreed with Buster. Looks like it'll be one or the other though.

That depends on who is applying to join and if it suits the BSPA at the time , Plymouth were dissapointed when their application to join was refused ( lack of facilities and no proper business plan I believe ) but look what happened just a couple of weeks later , so where the BSPA are concerned anything is possible. and nothing is beyond belief
