Vojens Sgp 2011

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel with reasonable rates not too far away from the GP Stadium.

6 blokes going, age range 22 - 65.

Thanks.

Have been to vojens several times and stayed in a local best western. very expensive and don't forget there is nothing in or local to vojens. couple of nice white churches few expensive hotels and a lot of grass

personally as i drive there i tend to stop in flensburg on the german border and its an hours drive. I would suggest that if you have a car at you disposal (or a van) rented from a local airport that would be the best bet. If you really want to stay in vojens try www.booking.com that allows you to select your own parameters like cost location etc.

sorry cant be more helpful

Harry

We are stopping in Esbjerg at the Scandic Olympic for 3 nights we have prepaid for the hotel i know its along way off but we have return flights booked already to Billund at a cost of£60 and the tickets in our hands already so Cardiff listen up.By doing this we got a 35% discount on the hotel and with the price we got it would work out for you if there were 6 of you about £99 each for 3 nights yes you would need a vechile and from Esbjerg its about a 40 minute drive to the track but then on the sunday i am lead to belive there is the Danish U21 final at Grinstead which is about a 25 minute drive in the opposite direction so for us Esbjerg is an ideal base

Thanks for your replies chaps,

Here's what were doing and costs:

Return flights from Stanstead to Billund, Fri - Sun £79.00

Hotel Billund Kro, Fri & Sat Night- £36.00 per person per night.

GP Tickets, Standing £33.00 each.

The only thing we need to sort out is travel from Billund to Vojens for the GP, any ideas, train, cab etc.. ?

Also this weekend works out cheaper than Cardiff which we do every year.

I dont imagine a cab would be cheap as it must be in the region of 75 to 80 miles each way from Billund to Vojens as for the train system i cant help you i still think a car is the cheapest option

Plus you've got the Sunday as insurance in case of Weather problems (don't mention the 'R' word) and more time to spend drinking over-priced Danish Turps. Remind me, how much did Haza pay for a pint? Roll on Gorzow!

Best to get hire car I'd say, that's what we always do, Vojens in middle of nowhere really. Had a quick look, looks like you can get combination of bus & train there but not really going back as isn't any till early sunday morning.
