BongoBrian
Any news on Gniezno v Bydgoszcz, Mama? I was hoping this was on on the 1st May, as it is easier to get to from Poznan! If not, then I guess its' about 2 hours each way to & from Zielona for me.

BB,I think it all depends on what time the ZG meeting starts(suppose it's the same for Torun too). The last direct train to Poznan from ZG is at 1903hrs.There is a later one at 1924hrs which involves 2 changes back to Poznan.Let's hope that the ZG v Czestochowa starts at 4pm,which should give you a bit of time to get back to the railway station(if that's how you're travelling). Think it's going to Torun for me(again dependent on what time meeting starts),if that's not possible then it's Wroclaw v Rzeszow.

Mateusz
Another piece of good news for those of you looking for some decent speedway around Poznan on May 1st: Division's 1 top match between Gniezno v Bydgoszcz WILL NOT be cancelled either! It's only one hour by train from Poznan to Gniezno and even if the meeting starts in the evening there should be no problem with catching some train back to Poznan ...and as I wrote earlier, if anyone would like to watch this match, I'd be happy to join you on this little trip from Poznan and back. Gniezno and Bydgoszcz line-ups We are staying in Poznan that weekend , so that meeting could now be our best option . Might thoughts exactly, I think that when the fixture was orginally set Bluejam was looking at this one as its the closest to our base, so I would think that it could be well within the radar. BongoBrian
Brilliant absolutely excellent news! Gniezno was the fixture I had pencilled in on the first page of this thread before the worries about it being cancelled. The train takes only a tad over half an hour. Happy days

Mateusz, We'll need to give you some training on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday to prepare you for a day out with Paulco. Not only will you have your liver tested to the full, he'll probably keep mentioning someone called Steve Lawson. We'll sort you out with some suitable responses I wish you luck Rico

ladyluck
No news on the "wild card" yet, although Unia Leszno have nominated Damian Balinski, but it seems the track reserve positions will go to Maciej Janowski (Wroclaw) and Patryk Dudek (Zielona Gora) after they were nominated by Poland's national coach Marek Cieslak. Rico
Are you going to join us,Mr Leckie? Hi Dean, Sorry I have only just seen this. Our plan for the Sunday is to head west to Zielona Gora for their match, so sadly no. I'm sure we'll catch up for a pint or 2 on the Saturday.
