WembleyLion
That's such a crap. Had a perfect weekend with the GP in Leszno on Saturday and Gniezno v Bydgoszcz on Sunday planned (both events round Poznań) I agree Mateusz - many fans in the UK think the sport is badly promoted here but hats off to the Polish authorities who seem to have really excelled themselves with a lack of planning surrounding both the Leszno and Torun GP's. Mateusz
I agree Mateusz - many fans in the UK think the sport is badly promoted here but hats off to the Polish authorities who seem to have really excelled themselves with a lack of planning surrounding both the Leszno and Torun GP's. Looks like Polish speedway promoters are doing their best to follow their British counterparts in poor ruling and promoting this sport. That's just sad... and so annoying! What we can't understand Mateusz is why the meetings can't take place in the evening instead of the afternoon on the Sunday.Has this been given any consideration,I wonder? Why can't teams that were due to be racing on that Sunday put back the meetings start times to 6.30-7pm? I honestly can't understand this either.

Dexter
Besides, 1-st May is a public holiday in Poland anyway. There would be no difference to what's there usually.
Mateusz
Pleased to pass some good news for those of you who wanted to attend a league match on Sunday after the Leszno GP: Ekstraliga matches on May 1st WILL NOT be cancelled, after all! Therefore, you can choose between these matches: Zielona Góra - Częstochowa Wrocław - Rzeszów Tarnów - Gorzów Toruń - Leszno Source: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2011/02/28/speedway-ekstraliga-nie-przelozy-meczow-iv-kolejki/ PS. Now makes the decision of postponing Division 1 & 2 even more pointless. If Ekstraliga covered by TVP can run, why Division 1 & cannot? Thanks Mateusz, This is excellent news, and means that I will get to see some Polish League racing which I was so looking forward to. A massive thank you to the Polish Speedway Promoters it what I appreciate must have been a difficult decision.

Mama
I'll probably go to Brokstedt for Bundesliga match at 1st of May so no way to run Gniezno-Bydgoszcz match at that time
Dexter
For once they did something properly... Let's hope the clubs themselves will not decide to cancel as Speedway Ekstraliga authorities left them open door for such option.
ladyluck
Chris Harris won't be the sole Briton on duty in Leszno as Craig Ackroyd will be refereeing. Likely to be controversy in Gothenburg as Wojciech Grodzki is the referee, while it's scheduled to be Frank Ziegler in Prague and Krister Gardell in Copenhagen. And speaking of Copenhagen, Michael Jepsen Jensen is hoping to show enough to warrant a "wild card" in one of the Danish-staged GPs, although one would imagine that Hans Andersen would be favourite: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2011/02/27/michael-jepsen-jensen-chcialbym-wywalczyc-dzika-karte-na-gp-/ Janusz Kołodziej will have former Poole favourite Krzysztof Cegielski in his pit crew for the GPs: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2011/02/23/krzysztof-cegielski-bede-obecny-na-kazdym-grand-prix/ Meanwhile, over in cloud cuckoo land, Scott Nicholls still dreams of winning the Cardiff GP: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2011/03/02/scott-nicholls-marzy-o-zwyciestwie-w-grand-prix-w-cardiff/ Well, I guess if everyone else bows out due to the new silencers, you never know.
