Primary Chain
Has the field been named for the Australian titles in January? If not does anyone know when this might be made public? Where will qualifying be held?
chopper
Nominations for the Aust senior titles close on the 14th dec. I would say that there wouldnt be a field selected until atleast after that date. Chopper
BigFatDave
Its gonna be pretty difficult scheduling a qualifier this year what with Xmas; Leigh's Cheerio and the Under-21s etc - the programme is very crowded. If there are any qualifiers I can only see them coming from the Under-21s, but who knows? MA moves in mysterious ways. It is a long schedule this year: five meetings well spread out including Broken Hill and the travel costs will be up there in the Stratosphere for sure: I know of at least one rider who won't be doing it this January - bit of a shame for his Downunder fans as we won't see how much he's progressed, but he's dead set on improving his equipment for next year's European season and that means he's had to get a Real Job, like the rest of us! BigFatDave
I can confirm one rider for sure, with Darwin's own ROOBOY, Rory Schlein confirming he'll be a starter following speculation on Aussie Forums that he'd pulled out. Dexter
Troy Batchelor has pulled out and there are rumours he would be banned from national team (as per Sportowe Fakty). Traditionally, Crump, Sullivan are not there. Holder will be defending his title, Ward and Watt will be there too.

BigFatDave
come on, Rory Schlein is from NT Which means there is no one from SA Not the only thing MA've got wrong lately. A Darwin Boy is our ROOBOY! Yep, Arlo's 1st reserve but Robbie K, Spud & Branflake aren't running this year - all busy working hard saving up for the next UK season, with a bit of Xmas partying thrown in no doubt, Oh, Ho, Ho!. Pinny
Why no Alex Davies or Todd Kurtz?
BigFatDave
Why no Alex Davies or Todd Kurtz? They're both in the Under-21s at Brisvegas - just up the road from the Hunter - but might be giving the 5-round Ozchamps a miss because of the cost of the exercise, Wanna, at least that's my take on it. BigFatDave
Latest news is with three weeks to go Jake Anderson has pulled out of OzChamps - 1st reserve Arlo Bujega has been promoted into the 16. If there's any more pull out it may be different reserves for different track, but I'm tuning up the Postie Bike just in case; might have trouble finding a racesuit to fit me! marcusthepom
kyle newman and josh auty nominated for the ozzie championships, seems even thou only 18 riders nominated for the senior championships they still arnt wanted or required. the bulldust regards the championships being closed or open is a crock of s@@t as theY can change there sub regs at will. it seems the same bulls@@t we have been dealing with in queensland has also infested its way into the australian section of riders selections. one rider has benefited from the poms injustice and he has made both championships. one thing that the public doesnt understand, kyle newman held a full queensland licence a couple of years ago.due to a request from motorcycling queensland he was asked to not renew his queensland licence because of insurance issues. thus motorcycling queensland ,motorcycling australia and other state bodies made there championships open to FIM ACU licence holders. we have people within the sport who cant understand the paying public have a right to see the best 16 riders who would like to compete, not riders, who ride in the uk with a low average which sees to reduce each and every season they ride the injustice served up to nick morris is a real discrace, however we let it happen because its not what you know, its who you know ....which is laid out for every body to see. WHATS WRONG WITH KYLE NEWMAN......IVAN PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY NOT GIVE THE KID A GO WHY NOT PLEASE THE PAYING PUBLIC WHY NOT REWARD A STATE CHAMPION WHY NOT GIVE THE KID A GO AS HE DID NOMINATE,OR DID THAT NOMINATION ARRIVE FIVE MINUTES LATE....... IM SURE WHAT WILL HAPPEN RULES WILL BE MADE UP ALONG THE WAY.......WHATS NEW....
BigFatDave
Josh was good value in OzChamps last year and would certainly have put up a decent showing, as would Kyle. No offence to young Brenton whom I've only seen as a junior, or Arlo, a more honest rider than Arlo would be hard to find, but they're out of their depth here, and would probably only pick up points by default. Seems that a few of the Powers-that-be have their own agendas for the sport, and that doesn't include giving the paying public what they deserve and what it used to be - the opportunity to see the best 16 riders currently in Oz going head-to-head, regardless of nationality.
