rudger
Would somebody be able to help, i am looking for any photographs, magazine cuttings , anything that shows the speedway/grasstrack career of Roger Parker. i am hoping someone in our speedway community can help. I am a friend of Rogers family unfortunately they do not have a lot of memories of his track career. All i can tell you that i know is that Roger was born in Gloucester around 1948. His grasstrack career spread from 1967 thro to 1975 and his speedway career from 1969-1975. Roger rode for Wolverhampton and Stoke in this time. In 1975 Roger Parker lost his life in a grasstrack event. I know that at Swindon there was a Roger Parker memorial cup , i think Alun Rossiter still has the trophy. Any contact information for him and Chris Van Stratan would be appreciated as i think they knew him also. i would be grateful for any help and his family would be very appreciative .
