Swift Saint
Parsloes there will be a Dream Team at Stoke that evening with great riders I can assure you. I think that is the only fixture clash but I could be wrong Lawrence Rogers has explained everything to me. Malcolm Vasey
Sandie
I am touring with the team and unless Steve is keeping another secret from me - we will NOT be at Stoke unfortunately. Stoke WAS on the cards but for various reasons we are now at Workington on the Saturday and then at Buxton on the Sunday. As for the Under 21 tour - they will not be over till around Easter, so its not them either. Sorry Stoke, no Americans that night - which is a HUGE shame as I have never been to Stoke and really wanted this fixture!

Swift Saint
There has been some confusion and in fact we have a Challenge againt Scunthorpe Saints that night which will sharpen us up for the following day at Newport when we begin our League campaign. Sandie
Sounds like a wires crossed issue here then Sounds like it. There WAS a booking which Steve cancelled with the promotion. It just seems that, for whatever reason, all the i's and t's were not dotted and crossed! Maybe next tour we can do Stoke. PLEASE
SteveEvans
The Stoke promoter is aware that we are not coming as we had email correspondence in February. There is a chance of another date opening up which all should come clear on Wednesday of this week and the Stoke promoter (and now Malcolm) have been informed of this. We would certainly love to race The Potters. The date we had was tentatively made at the beginning of the year with a "we'll firm it up later" when Dave T and I spoke pre National League AGM. At one point Dave actually cancelled the date with me but then we very tentatively penciled it back in. Workington was chosen only for one reason - their promoter is thrilled with American riders and would like another at some point. Even though we feature youth and experience, the goal is still to get riders to British clubs and that is the single factor that put Workington on the schedule. Storming Norman
You have to laugh! If a date is agreed for the USA to visit Stoke, I strongly suggest the announcement isn’t made by Stoke fixture specialist Malcolm “I can assure you” Vasey! torpointfanatic22
What ever happened to Austin Novratril, the lad came over last Easter if I remember rightly and scored about 16 at Plymouth as well as decent performances elsewhere, he was only 15 or 16 too. Would surely be a candidate for a team place over here! Same can be said for Gino Manzares too.

That's a bit snide Norman whilst I am scraping egg fom my face. I rarely even eat egg it nauseates me unless I cook it myself, my way. In fact I spoke to another person associated with this tour and he too was uder the same impression as me. But I hold my hands up and will set off for Stoke's Press and Practice on Wednesday fervently hoping that my apparent catstrophic fixture planning does not overspill into my navigation and come tapes up I am in Buenos Aires or somewhere! Apologies one and all and watch this space. We are racing against Lea Bridge on 12th of Never I can assure you all. Austin should be travelling with the Under 21 touring Team and Gino is finishing off school and also you have to remember that these tours are very costly and not possible for everyone every year. Bryn
BTW, the side is still listed as USA Dream Team in the fixtures on the BSPA website.... I'm sure a quick message from someone with authority to do so on behalf of the touring side to the webmaster of the BSPA site and/or the BSPA Office / Press Office setting out any official changes necessary, will rectify any problems. The H Man
I'm heading up to Brum with Big Phil Morris next Thursday for the meeting against the USA boys. Looking forward to seeing them in action and hopefully meeting some of the guys who work hard to put it all together.

SteveEvans
The 8 riders for the first three matches will be (in non riding order)- Eddie Castro, Shawn McConnell, Doug Nicol, Mike Buman, Joey Holt, Jim Terchila, Dylan Black and Marvin Sonnier. We will have a #8 named who will be a floating reserve and we intend to give the #8 a couple of rides per event. The last 4 riders are very raw - either very young or older clubman riders getting a chance to live their dream. Having had two riders graduate in the last 12 months and sign for British teams, its back to the development board with the next batch. But win or lose, we bring a show - Old Skool, New Skool! If its anything like a usual tour we will build momentum as we go and really be on top form when it matters - against Dudley!!
