Arthur Forrest On Dvd?

My uncle maintains that Arthur Forrest is the best rider he has ever seen.

Does anyone know if there is any footage of him, either for Halifax or Bradford, that has been transferrd to DVD?

I read some time ago that there is a company that specialises in converting old cine film of various sports to DVD.

This is a very specific request so I ask more in hope than expectation.

Just a thought but there was a series of Aces of Yesteryear in which Arthur was likely to appear in the opposing team in the 50s. Also I seem to remember that he rode in a Golden Greats at Coventry about 1990 which must have been filmed.Great rider-saw him at Bristol a few times.

You are probably thinking of David Beecroft who has put together a few DVDs of old Halifax and Bradford speedway. I'll send him an email to draw his attention to your query. He just might be able to help.By the way, Arthur was a terrific rider and he wasn't called the Black Prince for nothing. Cheers.

Would be interested to know ..did you ever get a copy of any dvd (or video come to that) of Arthur Forrest riding or indeed any other Bradford riders back then?

Would be interested as friend of mine organising Exhibition to the History of Speedway in Bradford... to be hosted in aug/sep 2012.

Please visit ..Bradford Speedway Coming Home on facebook.
