crikeythatsfast
For the riders I have spoken to £80 a point is high I think you are looking at more £60-£70 for a Premier League heatleader and as for sponsorship there is a lot of riders out there that don't have any sponsorship or have lost sponsorship. When the purse strings need to tighten sponsorship is the first thing companies/people drop. Also in the Premier league apart from the Swedes and Danes I don't think there are many that race abroad. It is tough for the riders with all the costs going up and the points money going down, and no they don't get start money. I agree with screamer they are worth more than they get. Playing devils advocate a bit.... They might be worth more than they get but would paying customers be willing to pay the extra £'s each week? And unless the riders/promotion are willing to publish their wage slips online, how can anyone be sure that the extra admission fees will be going directly to the riders? crikeythatsfast
he didnt do enough this season to get in the team next year imo To be fair he had a nasty injury, and maybe he was keeping his average low for a reason
em1500uk
he didnt do enough this season to get in the team next year imo Maybe not, but I personally am pretty confident that he'll be in the side for next season now that Doolan won't be present. Doolan was the only other person who could really step up to be a captain if Topinka wasn't going to feature. Now without Doolan, it only leaves Topinka with his age and experience to help any youngsters along. He's on a very low average now too, which will work in his favour I would've thought. Topinka still is a class act and most teams would kill to have someone of his class in their colours...

Crap. anyone not considering signing tom on his average after the way he was riding again at the end of the season would be making a big mistake in my opinion. He has got to be worth at least 8 to 8.5 points a match, plus he is one rider the youngsters can look up to and take the p1ss out of( toms words at the na not mine!)Ok he may not be quite as potent as an out n out no1 (prove me wrong, go on tom)but got to be worth a team place. Daniel Smith
gone from 9 point man to a 7 point man surely that must show the promotion he is on a downer?? and how could he during season say he cant get set up of the track hes been there long enough, just gonna get worse this year imo He changed all his equipment from Jawa to GM. The set up is completely different. Add into that his injuries, it will take time to get back to his best & at the end of the season he was.
