King's Lynn 2011

I don't deny they would be snapped up soon enough, but why would they even consider signing people in the first place if they were contemplating a move to the EL? it would have to be an absolutely outstanding offer for a club to change their minds and take the finanical risk of moving up imo.

Stars going EL and rumours of a "new" club also running in the EL? Seems the big boys need more cannon fodder - don't buy into the EL "dream", there are plenty of people who did and got burnt

It all looks like it's desperate measures from the EL to hang onto the Sky cash cow - they've certainly hit the panic button from what I can see!

Like headless chickens....

I've got a question for an Ipswich fan:

This switch to the Premier League - do you feel like Bugs Bunny, stepping off a plummetting aeroplane to safety, just before it crashes into the ground?

Come to think of it, that could be the EL sponsor for 2011: Plummet Airlines!

The question has to be, if the money on the table to take Birmingham & supposedly King's Lynn into the EL is so good, why wasn't it offered to Ipswich????

And if it was and they've still come down, to me that says a lot that the BSPA are trying to pull the wool over the PL promoters.

Peterborough, Coventry, Poole & Wolverhampton will always be the top dogs in the EL & all they'll be doing is making sure it stays that way.

Those 4 teams don't give a monkeys about any other club in that league and they just constantly try to point score over each other.

Perhaps SKY have had some input as to who they would like to see in the league??

Articles in both the EDP and Lynn News about Kings lynn facing their old enermy Ipswich,in print yesterday. If Kings Lynn are going to Elite, then there must have been a massive change since Monday. Plus Buster, having had his fingers burnt before at that level, has always stated Elite League Speedway will not come back to Saddlebow, while he is running the show.

If we did go EL I think this line up would persuade me to go every week

Jason Crump

Hans Andersen

Daniel Nermark

Trav McGowan

Kev Doolan

Tom Topinka

Chris Schramm

Would come to around 41 points, wouldn't lose many if any at home

Looks like a team to bankrupt any Club. :D 3 weeks ago we couldnt afford Doolan, now you are hoping we can afford Crump. Amazing

But up until this season just gone we used to get weekly emails about the upcoming fixture and news from the conference, this season however it's been sporadic to say the least and no communication since before the AGM. It's very odd.

Granted, the weekly emails were a good thing, but they only really focused on the home meetings. Don't think I ever saw an away fixture being promoted over email i.e with possible team line ups or whatever, but that's just me being picky I guess :P I've also heard a few people complain that most of the regular news now ends up on Facebook and not the official website. Not everyone has Facebook or the desire to sign up on Facebook, so really the website not having a news page is an issue for some. Some people have suggested I put myself forward for updating the official website, but I'm certainly not doing that as I like doing my own thing. Add what I want, when I want, however I see fit.

I'm personally starting to feel like rhidassa, having the football team down the road under the Chapmans care must now make it harder for them to split their time between the two. One team will receive more attention than the other at times and I think currently that it's the football club and that's why the communication has gone down hill this season. In previous years they've not had another club to really worry about. I know there was Mildenhall, but that was a speedway club. Running a football club must be a completely different kettle of fish?

As for the rumours that we're going EL, well, I'll believe it when it comes straight out of the horses mouth  I think to go up now during these difficult financial times would be suicidal myself but hey ho.

As Buster has always stated that he would not risk his money by going back up into the Elite league, could it be that that the BSPA will take over the running of Speedway at the Norfolk Arena ?

I've wondered the same. Seems to be a lot of talk on the EL thread of Coventry's assets being seized, threat of legal actions etc.

Whatever it is, it's a sad state of affairs for speedway :o

Personally I won't be attending many meetings if KL were to ever go EL. No offence to the EL or our promotion but the EL meetings I have seen on SKY have been boring beyond words.

I just wish someone would come out and tell the fans one way or another.

I think you got to look at the big picture and if British speedway loses sky sponsorship it could be the final nail on British speedway so it could be for the good of speedway for lynn to go elite .

Whilst that might be true, speedway survived before SKY and it can again.

Also It's a huge risk to take.

My heart says Buster will not risk 'his' business to please the BSPA, my head says, there is something going on, but that could be just because of the rumours and the fact we have heard hardly nothing from the promotions, whereas years gone by they have always kept us well informed.
