Swedish 2011 Season

Recommended Posts

Any news on if Adam Shields can be fitted into any team now, after he was released by Vargarna so they could squeeze in Pedersen?

Not sure about Sweden at the moment Clive, does not look too good but he has signed a contract with Wroclaw in the Polish league..

no news yet that i know of. However i would guess that maybe Västervik or Hammarby could be interested.

Västervik's Team Manager says that Adams Shields is interesting for Västervik but they have not discussed a contract yet.

Good news about Wroclaw, let's hope Adam gets quite a few meetings, cheers MD.

Is there a date and venue for the Swedish Championship weekend?

the Venue will be G&B Arena in Målilla again but currently no decisions have been taken about what weekend it will be held on.

However i would guess that it will be sometine during the second half of the summer?

information will be available at this website http://www.speedwaysm.se/ (it still shows info for 2010).

AFAIK, there's no limit on the number of guest/loan riders you can use in a Division 1 line-up, as the ruling will be the same as in 2010. If Tigrarna wants to use 3 riders registred in their squad, and 4 guest/loan riders, that's OK.

Nässjö will - unfortunately - only have four riders registred in their own squad, with co-team manager Benny Woentin being one of them as an emergency option, but will count on guest riders to fill the line-up on a regular basis. The three Elit Vetlanda juniors (Henric Lindqvist, Michael Sjökvist and Jacob Thorssell), are among the 6 riders that have been signed up as "frequently occuring guest/loan riders", as I would like to call it.

The four permanent riders of the Nässjö squad are:

Mikael Axelsson

Johannes Fredh, new from Gnistorna

Lennart Persson

Benny Woentin
