a tv-reportage about Smedernas speedway school:

Somewhere amongst them is the next Ove Fundin!!

Great scheme and something you just have to do to hook them whilst they are young. :t:

Thanks, my friend. Alan

I see that next Tuesday night league match Elit Vetlanda Vs Valsarna won't be live on Premier Sports, because of football  It will be shown later that night at 9.45pm UK time

Thats shocking if you ask me  , there was the meeting earlier in the season delayed but they assured everyone it would be the only one. Wont bother watching it, if this is how they treat us.

Yes live meeting in Sweden, but with delayed TV coverage in the UK due to bloody football

It is now on the listings for Poland. individual carriers will follow, today or tomorrow.

Startlist SM-qualification, Gubbängens IP Wednesday July 20th (tonight) @ 19.00 Swedish time.

8+2 is through to the SM-final at Målilla, September 17th.

There has been some withdrawals, David Ruud (riding in postponed meeting), Dennis Andersson (riding in postponed meeting) & Alexander Edberg (injured)

Not sure how the reserve system works so i don't know yet which rider that will replace them. I am also not sure if, and in that case where. there will be any live updates from this.

*uppdate Wednesday July 15th:

Due to the reasons posted by Anders in the quote below Dennis Andersson and David Ruud will ride after all.

I just can't believe it, but things have changed again, into a complete farce if you ask me. Piraterna's local newspaper in Motala (Motala & Vadstena Tidning), and Lejonen's website, now says that the meeting will still go ahead tonight. :icon_smile_clown:

According to the newspaper, Lejonen's team manager says that Lejonen will ride without reserves. Troy Batchelor rides in Britain, while Dennis Andersson and David Ruud must ride in the Swedish championship qualifier to avoid a ban from the federation.

For Piraterna, Linus Sundström will ride in Stockholm, so it's likely that Tomas Bäck will take the junior position.

I wonder what kind of line-ups that will be available tonight. Just have to wait and see...

I'm not so sure about this. Personally, I would expect a federation meeting (such as a championship qualifier) taking presdence over the league meeting. I guess Ruud and Andersson would be able to ride in Gislaved instead, but then a fine/suspension will be given in that case. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's like that.

The same applies to Linus Sundström who can't be in two places at once, if the league goes ahead as scheduled.

It sure will be interesting to see what will happen up until 19:00 tonight...

Jacob Thorssell has been told that he'll replace Ricky Kling, so expect plenty of changes to the original line-up.

Now it's official. Lejonen vs Piraterna, that was re-scheduled for tonight, has been postponed again, this time due to the Swedish championship qualifier in Stockholm. No new date has been agreed upon for the league fixture.

anyway the 8+2 riders that are through are:

  1. 04. David Ruud, Gislaveds MK (Lejonen 0,3,2,3,3 ) 11
  2. 05. Kim Nilsson, Rospiggarna SK (3,2,1,3,2) 11
  3. 11. Magnus Zetterström, Hammarby IF (3,3,3,1,1) 11
  4. 02. Dennis Andersson, Gislaveds MK (Lejonen 1,3,0,3,3) 10
  5. 03. Peter Ljung, Westerviks MSK (2,2,2,1,3) 10
  6. 13. Linus Sundström, SMK Motala SF (Piraterna 2,3,3,0,2) 10
  7. 07. Sebastian Aldén, Gasarna SK (2,1,1,3,2) 9
  8. 08. Ludvig Lindgren, Rospiggarna SK (1,1,3,2,2) 9
  9. 01. Pontus Aspgren, Gasarna SK (3,1,1,0,3) 8
  10. 16 Eric Andersson, Gasarna SK (2| 3,2,2,0,1) 8

Eric Andersson was initially a reserve but since both Henka Gustafsson and Rickly Kling pulled out, Erik was moved up to the

qualification heat in which he finished second and thus qualified for the main qualifier.
