Grachan
Strange how none of the riders who don't compete in Britain have bothered to turn up (Brian Karger excepted). And Shawn McConnell. The ones who matter to Swindon fans were there. Anyone who sees fit to try and have a pop at this meeting can go stuff themselves as far as I'm concerned. Steve0
A fitting farewell to great servant of British speedway. However for one of the top riders in the world I was very disappointed by the lack of turn out of big name stars - even Mark Loram pulled out. Enjoy your "retirement" Leigh! Rico
Glad I popped along to this, though I was disappointed at not seeing Rune Holta (not as disappointed as my son was) and Mark Loram. The meeting itself had a few good races in it and the efforts of the riders, in the main, were excellent. The Danish kids (I heard one was John Jorgensens son, would like to know the others names) were giving their 80cc bikes some big licks on both tracks. Good to see a fair few fans from Leszno had come along as well and they made their presence known. Nice to see Leigh go through the card and fittingly win his last race around Blunsdon. I've always enjoyed watching him race and he's going to be pretty much impossible to replace. Rico
bigcatdiary
So who's fault is it if whingeing bellyaching riders dont wanna come over and do it...as for Sullivan he didnt do the Polish meeting so what do you make of that?!..seems he doesnt want anything to do with the flag of Australia anymore Sullivan only does meeting that benifit Sullivan
keef
Some of those Leszno Blue Boys are well ard, the Polish skinhead wearing a t-shirt on a freezing night, together with some big Wiltshire bird in a vest. Although the Adver said they were riding naked Parker and Woffy must have been a bit chilly wearing just jock-straps The other Danes were Kenni Nissen, and Mark Frimodt Pedersen, plus Leigh's son Declan. Best race of the night was Big Fat Al Rosco against Sean McConnell. Must have been around 4-5000 present? speedy den boy
Best race of the night was Big Fat Al Rosco against Sean McConnell. IS there any video footage of this race? I know there wouldnt be any photos as there is no wide angled lens bigger enough to fit both riders inro the same shot!!
