Cant say I blame Ward at all. The manager running that show should be sacked at least, he doesnt understand the game. Ward waited an eternity for a 2nd ride, then, they give him the shocking outside gate, what do they expect from him, Superman! He needs some smart tacticians to give him a fair chance to shine, as he is the youngest member. Not a manager who favours Emil and Hans and keeps riders guessing without a clue when they might ride.

It's not a question of favouring one rider over another. If Ward had done better in Ht 1 he'd have been in Ht 4 and had he performed well in that he'd have been in subsequent heats. It seems Ward has some hard lessons to learn.

You worry that some idiot might throw something on during a race. There is passion for your team and there is.......... Alan.

...the Falubaz Hools.

From memory there was some controversy over items being thrown at Bydgoszcz's Andreas Jonsson in the first meeting at Zielona Gora on their return to the top flight a couple of years ago. The Holiness of Falubaz is a bit of a religion in the Green Mountain town and they have there own radical fanatics.

i dont understand. 1 point paid 2 in ht1, behind teammate whats difference if 2 points? what is it a race between teammates? with winner rewarded? thats a good way to insure safe riding. all on all. Is that a rule - whoever finishes ahead gets heat 4. What a farce.

No, of course it isn't the rule, but it's easy to understand a manager picking his strongest rider from Ht 1 for Ht 4, unless his other rider in Ht 1 is a bit of a star. For example, Bydgoszcz would always pick Sayfutdinov for Ht 4, regardless of his score in Ht 1. Torun don't have a junior performing consistently well, so the manager rotates them based on scores in earlier heats. Well, until an over-hyped Aussie throws a strop, that is.

The score needed to be the other way around for Zielona Gora to have a chance next week. Afraid it's all over now baby blue.

Alan

In all honesty Falubaz, for the second season running, have done fantastically well just to make the final. Unia Leszno are simply a much better team than Falubaz.
