brandonbee48
I am stepping into big shoes in posting this, but our friend Racers and Royals is away this weekend, so i said i would fill in. The Final is at Zielona Gora and the start time is 4pm UK time. The line-up is as follows. Robert Kosciecha Janusz Kolodziej Krzystof Jablonski Jaroslaw Hampel Tomasz Gollob Tomasz Gapinski Mateusz Szczepaniak Krzystof Buczkowski Adrian Miedzinski Maciej Kuciapa Piotr Protasiewicz Sebastian Ulamek Damian Balinski Krzysztof Kasprzak Dawid Stachyra Michal Szczepaniak Res. Daniel Jeleniewski Rafal Dobrucki The meeting is honouring a man who a few of the older Coventry fans will recall, Henryk Zyto, who rode for the Bees in 1960 and won the Brandonapolis. His son is the team manager of Zielona Gora and i am sure he will be a proud man as his dad is introduced. The link is http://www. soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?-id=motorsport Again, at 4pm. UK time. Regards. Alan.

brandonbee48
Nice to see 6 riders from Div 1 in this Final i'll be cheering for my home rider Maciej Kuciapa Always nice to see some of the lesser lights earning their chance in the spotlight. Maciej is a new one to me but it adds to the interest knowing he is "your man". Looking forward to this bumper Polish weekend. Kindest regards. Alan. Mateusz
Wondering if Gollob's gonna risk and ride in this event. Especially that he's not particularly liked in ZG
pawel115
Hi Alan ! Maciej rode for Zielona Gora couple years ago then he came back to Rzeszow , been riding for the last 17 years i think ,he is definatelly not favorite in this final. Rzeszow is doing really well in playoffs thanks in large part to 2 Brits that ride for it Lee and Bomber.
brandonbee48
Wondering if Gollob's gonna risk and ride in this event. Especially that he's not particularly liked in ZG He frightened the life out of me chasing Greg Hancock on Tuesday in Sweden. I kept yelling " You're so nearly World Champion, slow down". But he's a racer. I'd bet he will ride out of pride, but there is a lot of flu about in Poland!!!!! Best Wishes. Alan.

And it has now been confirmed that Tomek has succumbed to this flu (or some other unspecified disease) and will not be racing at Zielona Gora tomorrow...Not really the biggest shock of the season Home rider Rafal Dobrucki will replace him in the match. What a shocker. I'm stunned! Seriously, can you really blame him on the verge of fulfilling every riders lifetime ambition? I think we would all do the same. Alan. I wasn't surprised he rode in Sweden on Tuesday , just at how hard he tried to pass Greg. No one would have remembered who won that heat 16 in years to come, but everyone will know who the 2010 World Champion was. And i hope it is Tomasz Gollob. He thoroughly deserves it and time is not on his side. Tomorrow should still be a very enjoyable meeting and on his own track the man replacing Tomasz could spring a surprise. We shall see. Kindest regards. Alan.
manchesterpaul
A snippet taken from the news article on the SGP site; Tomasz Gollobs manager Thomas Gaszynski has confirmed the World Championship leader will not race in the Polish Final at Zielona Gora tomorrow due to illness. Gaszynski says the eight-time national title winner has suffered suspected food poisoning and is unfit to defend his crown. He explained: Unfortunately, Tomasz will not be taking part in the Polish Final due to illness. He came down with it on Thursday. We came back from Sweden and he was motocross riding. I think he ate something and then he just started spewing up. He didnt feel too good and had a fever. Its just something you cant anticipate its just one of those things. Everyone gets ill sooner or later and it just happens that it was this weekend for Tomasz. Thats the way it goes.
