Buxton V Newport

A tough looking meeting for the Hitmen against the Hornets. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs and are looking for more Trophy points in their quest for silverware. Forecast is good and there is bound to be plenty of action with the Hornets looking for revenge over the Hitmen who won the league encounters home and away.

Great win for the Hitmen today - a real topsy-turvy meeting where at one point and it looked as though the Hornets were going to at least nick a point, or even win the meeting when they went in front in Heat 10. The Hitmen hit back though in convincing fashion from then on though to complete an excellent victory. The Hornets will rue Jamie White-Williams twice falling off when leading a Hornets 5-1 and Luke Priest also tumbling in Heat 8 when on a 5-1 with White-Williams. If these teams get drawn together in the play-offs it's going to be a cracker. :)

I know Cookie won heat 15 but couldn't understand why Allott didn't get the nod as he was a higher scorer and Cookie did not seem himself

Scorers chart for Newport slightly wrong as it was R/R for Kyle Newman who was at Rye House representing Team GB u21's in World Team Cup Final (congrats to Kyle!! :approve: )and it was James White-Williams at 6 who scored 3 points in a meeting to forget for him with bike problems in heat 2 meaning he was on Tony Atkin's machine and two falls . It was a meeting Buxton won but Newport threw away. Also Tony Atkin was 11+2.

Cook had had 4 rides to Allotts 5. Maybe they made it equal?
