Young51
I don't think she needs a whip round... but you ought to get some whipping for saying such a remarks. Daria (that's her first name) speaks fluent English. Probably no worse than you do. Can't speak for George obviously, but i think he was just saying that she is an attractive knowledgeable lady, who would do a great job on Sky Sports UK?Nothing to get out your pram about PolskiZuzel imo!Correct me if i'm wrong here George btw!You surely meant whipround as in a collection of people generously donating money for a worthy cause? tyler42
On the flip side, we have the riders who showed little character, prime among them Chris Harris and Tai Woffinden. Harris undid all his fine work in Gorican and now has Jonsson and Andersen breathing down his neck. Nevermind Gollob, will Harris, who has never qualified for the GPs be the one to choke? Woffinden, on the other hand, has shown very little in the GPs, has added nothing to the GPs and has made the brass at BSI look like fools for nominating him. You only have to read Harris and Woffindens comments in the star the other week. Because the brits have had to rely on a wildcard year on year. The British riders expect it as the norm and maybe its not so important for them to qualify in the top eight. To be fair to Harris, last night was his worst GP for a while and I thought uptil last night he looked a genuine top eight rider. Time will tell with two rounds to go, but I bet bsi would hope Harris does get in the top eight and thus free up one of the wildcards for someone else. I don't think it will be a Brit this time around though.

Daria (that's her first name) speaks fluent English. Probably no worse than you do. Daria Kabała-Malarz, is her full name, I believe. Anyway, turning from Polish stunners and back to speedway, after yesterdays encounter in Vojens the championship standings are as follows: 1. T Gollob (POL) 141 2. J Crump (AUS) 122 3. J Hampel (POL) 121 4. K Bjerre (DEN) 98 5. R Holta (POL) 88 6. C Holder (AUS) 83 7. G Hancock (US) 81 8. C Harris (GBR) 76 ----- ----- ----- ----- 9. H Andersen (DEN) 71 10=. A Jonsson (SWE) 70 10=. F Lindgren (SWE) 70 12. N Pedersen (DEN) 67 13. M Zetterstrom (SWE) 60 14. T Woffinden (GBR) 39 15. E Sayfutdinov (RUS) 33 All of the top seven have won GPs this season and that really ought to be enough to guarantee a place for next season, regardless of whether one of them slips out of the top eight or not, although I do think all seven will be in the top eight, which would just leave one place up for grabs. Can Harris hang on?
pandorum
Can Harris hang on? Not if he performs like that again. Lamentable has been his GP nickname and he still has not done anything to deserve a pick. Same goes for Woofy. He has learned and showed a few bits of promise but the sooner the Brits get out of the 'charity hand out' habit and realise that only hard work will get them in the GP the quicker we will have someone who will put up a decent challenge. No one can put up ONE reasonable argument why a Brit deserves a pick. We have lived on the 'series needs a Brit' argument for so long we here have started to believe such crap. The series needs guys like Darcy, Artem, Freddie, Aussie Chris, Emil, Antonio and even Woofy but the Brits need to start deserving thier spots. No Brit pick for 2011 please and let our guys ponder that they can only get in via the qualifiers for a few years. Might wake the buggers up. Congrats to Gollob who is arguably the best rider to sit on a speedway bike in the last 20 years. Seen guys like Mauger, Collins, Michanek, Briggs, Olsen, Penhall, Neilsen, Gundersen and Tommy Jansson and this guy is up with modern greats like that. It's about time Poland had a great world champ to savour in. Gollob is the man. Lets hope he can finish it off in the next four weeks. mothorsen
Gratulations to Gollob. Two spot-free GP's in one season? Hats off. A bit disapointed by Holta, but cross my fingers for the last two rounds. Ops... Didn't see all heats, as the swedish re-run is edited. So Holta took one in the knee? Less disapointed, but still keppin' them fingers crossed. Edited September 12, 2010 by mothorsen
noggin
TG was totally untroubled and richly deserved his win, hopefully no silly moves and the titles his, as for the brits, I agree about time they earn't the right to be in gp's rather than getting a charity pick, don't think this season's troubles have done tai any good at all. Absolutely correct Young51! Think something is being lost in the translation here if you'll pardon the pun. I think she'd do great job for SKY and viewing figures! george.m
Am I right in thinking that TG was in a private plane crash after one of the GPs and his father was on board too? I hope he wins as he brings genuine excitement to the GPs. On a separate not, although I don't like him, it was good to see Nicki Pedersen back in a final and I hope we'll see more of him in future as he does add entertainment to the GPs, even if it usually is for the wrong reasons! ladyluck
Am I right in thinking that TG was in a private plane crash after one of the GPs and his father was on board too? That was two, maybe three, seasons ago. Holta was also on-board.
2ndbendbeerhut
Thanks to everyone for the help ... contacted SKY and unfortunately I have a problem with my SKY box ... gonna cost me £65 call out charge. Try resetting your box, switch off at wall and leave for a couple of mins, may do the trick..... finally got my red button to work last night by resetting Karl

Yes, last night like yourself and also the last time speedway was on red button, with absolutely no problems in between so must be to do with the red button. Very annoying. george.m
Seriously? Is anyone actually paying £40 for Sky Sports? If they are, then they are surely being ripped, cos as far as I am aware, neither Sky or Virgin charge £40 for the Sky Sports package You've got me thinking now. I've got SKY+ HD and am paying £58 (or £55 can't remember) is there a way of paying less? Can't get Virgin where we live.

Can't get Virgin where we live. ive just had a look at the breakdown of my bill and i'm paying £27.50 for sport + movies (with Virgin)...... I believe to take away the films it would probably only take away another few quid ............. but I have the 'XL (vip?) package' with Virgin so i'm not sure how much it would cost on other packages
