But: the two Russian reserve riders (Baltachev & Novik) have, in consultation with their federation, decided to give their places in the EC Final back and stay reserve riders also on Sunday. This means that Leitner & Flyktman both placed themselves for the Final.

You're probably right - I was going off the positions they finished before they took out Novik and Baltachev.

Reading what Joni wrote,Baltachev and Novik were supposed to be the reserves for the final. Has this changed to?

NikE from rus-forum wrote a start list in the top of final's thema. Baltachev and Novik are reserves for the final, too. The rest is OK.
