willp
DUDLEY Heathens can go back to the top of the National Speedway League with a win over Weymouth at Birmingham's Perry Barr Stadium on Wednesday (7.30). The former Cradley club are at full strength for the clash which sees them gunning for the double over the Wildcats after winning at the Wessex Stadium in June. Heathens would love to finish in top spot to give them first choice of opposition for the play-off semi-finals - and a good performance will also put them in a confident mood for the biggest match of the season with title rivals Newport at Wolverhampton next Tuesday. Boss Will Pottinger said: "Everyone will fancy us to win this meeting but we won't be taking anything for granted, we have a job to do against a revamped Weymouth side." DUDLEY: Lee Smart, Micky Dyer, Tom Perry, Jake Anderson, Barrie Evans, Ashley Morris, Richard Franklin. WEYMOUTH: Byron Bekker, Daniel Halsey, Tom Brown, Karl Mason, James Cockle, Richard Andrews, Gary Cottham. c/o www.dudleyspeedway.com Edited August 24, 2010 by willp

Brummie Kev
It was actually okay upto 2pm with dry pavements yet by 2.30 it closed in pretty quick. A shame as I was planning to go to this as I couldnt get to Kings Lynn. Surprised the re-arranged fixture is back at Perry Barr, theres more Heatens matches at PB in September then Brummies matches. Wessex Wanderer
Nice trip up to Brum for this one. Pity there was no Speedway! Did find a superb pub though - The Wellington in Bennets Hill has a selection of 15 different real ales and as one barrel is finished they immediately put on a 16th and so on. A real ale drinkers paradise. And none of your scandanavian lager *&%* either. Hope to be up for the restaging but not too sure I will get out of the pub.
