Lejonen won't have Chris Holder in the line-up for this away fixture, but Nicki Pedersen is back after a period on the injury list. Jesper B Monberg and Sebastian Aldén have been dropped, the latter due to injury, so Przemyslaw Pawlicki and Krzysztof Buczkowski enter the line-up, and Mads Korneliussen moves to the main body. Furthermore, Ryan Sullivan and Wieslaw Jagus swaps heat leader positions. Indianerna also makes some changes. Magnus Zetterström rides at No 1 as Bjarne Pedersen takes the No 5 position to partner the reserves, where to Niels-Kristian Iversen has been demoted due to the rolling average. Instead, Simon Gustafsson takes a place as second string. Freddy Godlund replaces Marcus Johansson as the number eight junior. Rospiggarna (home) 1. Mads Korneliussen 2. Kauko Nieminen 3. However, Tai Woffinden is back in the line-up, replacing Daniel King who scored only 1 point in Vetlanda last week. Also Valsarna comes from a huge loss, 36-60 at home to Indianerna, and makes several changes for this fixture. No less than four riders gets the boot from the losing line-up. Tomasz Gapinski, Roman Povazhny, Robin Törnqvist and Victor Palovaara - who scored a combined 14 points - are replaced by Henrik Gustafsson, Artem Laguta, Anders Mellgren and Magnus Karlsson, the latter who makes his season debut. Elit Vetlanda continues with the line-up that smashed Vargarna last week, the only change comes at the number eight position as Jacob Thorssell replaces Henric Lindqvist. Piraterna (home) 1. Any idea why they are televising one of the worst meetings (on paper) when there are much more interesting looking matches to choose from. TBBH This must be the decider for the wooden spoon. Where are these sides placed on the p[oints table? Poor choice. Indianerna are a shocking side. Edited August 24, 2010 by dirt
Anders
Any idea why they are televising one of the worst meetings (on paper) when there are much more interesting looking matches to choose from. TBBH This must be the decider for the wooden spoon. Where are these sides placed on the p[oints table? Poor choice. Indianerna are a shocking side. CURRENT STANDING: 1. Elit Vetlanda, 14, 12-1-1, 6/7, 31p (+239) 2. Dackarna, 14, 11-2-1, 7/7, 31p (+191) 3. Piraterna, 13, 9-1-3, 4/6, 23p (+81) 4. Lejonen, 14, 7-1-6, 5/7, 20p (+26) 5. Västervik, 16, 8-0-8, 3/8, 19p (-32) 6. Indianerna, 14, 6-0-8, 2/7, 14p (-65) -------------------------------------------------- 7. Vargarna, 14, 5-0-9, 3/7, 13p (-55) 8. Valsarna, 14, 1-1-12, 1/7, 4p (-205) 9. Rospiggarna, 13, 1-0-12, 0/6, 2p (-180) I guess that they choose the Rospiggarna vs Indianerna fixture because it's crucial to the Indians' fight to be among the top six. A win at Rospiggarna would almost certainly give them a place in the Play Offs, as I can't imagine Indianerna losing at home to Rospiggarna. What are the playoffs rules this year? 1-6, 2-5, 3-4 with 3 winners and lucky loser to semis? Or top 2 already in semis and 3-6, 4-5 in quarterfinals? Anders
SOME LATE NEWS: Wieslaw Jagus is sick, and will be missing from Rospiggarna's line-up. I would guess that R/R will be in use. Hans Andersen's broken finger stops him from riding tonight for Dackarna, with Ricky Kling taking the No 2 race jacket, and Grzegorz Zengota stepping in at reserve. Anders
What are the playoffs rules this year? 1-6, 2-5, 3-4 with 3 winners and lucky loser to semis? Or top 2 already in semis and 3-6, 4-5 in quarterfinals? It's a new system for the season. After the regular season, the top six advances to the Play Off, as below: QUARTERFINAL STAGE Group 1 (which I will call "A" to simplify things) will be teams 1, 3 and 6. Group 2 (which I will call "B" to simplify things) will be teams 2, 4 and 5. Three tuesdays will be used for this quarterfinal group stage: Tuesday September 7th, 14th and 21st. The highest placed team (from the regular season) in each group, choose which team they want to meet in round 1, and if it will be home or away. The winner of round 1 will ride in round 2, against the team that rested in round 1. In round 3, the remaining fixture will be held. Examples (for Group A): 1st placed team chooses to start at home to 3rd placed team. 1st placed teams wins the meeting. 1-3 6-1 3-6 If 1st placed team lose the first meeting, then it will be: 1-3 3-6 6-1 SEMIFINALS Dates: September 28th and 29th A1 vs B2, home and away B1 vs A2, home and away FINALS Dates: October 5th and 6th Winners of each semifinal, home and away

brandonbee48
Long delay for track grading. Think Sullivan wasn't too happy with the track. I have seen a lot worse. Alan.
