Parsloes 1928 nearly
D.Stoneman F,0,0,0,0 =0 D.Stoneman 0,3,0,0 =3 Ht. 3 R/R D.Stoneman, J.Jacobs, S.Hazelden, L.Kerr 3-3 (9-9) (63.73) That's unusual: nine races, eight last places and one race win...!!! In general terms seems R/R didn't work out for the Buccs... Also what's the score with James - clearly his absense through injury from the second match made the crucial difference there... HBKPCNBob
2 nice, close meetings. Shame with Brundle getting injured in the 1st meeting, made it a bit easier for the Cobras who I thought before today would run us very close. Strudwick and the reserves rode very well for Rye. Knight was superb in both meetings and Morley was the star in the 2nd meeting, he looked very smooth and rode more like a heatleader then a reserve today. waco
Just got home from the meeting what a result .Ok they were without James Brundle. But the Cobras have been without Jaimie Smith for ages..though Joe Jacobs has come in and is doing a fine job.. No Kyle Hughes..No Marc Owen ..But our guests did excellantly Thanks Darren and Jake..Good solid score from Lee Strudwick and 16 yr old Ben Morley has come back from a broke ankle in scintilating form getting the vital 5-1 in heat 14 with Joe Jacobs and then keeping Mark Baseby at the back to secure the win with Lee Strudwick in heat 15..I havent enjoyed an away match as much as this for along time.... jdandcoke12
lewis kerr rode brilliant! such a shame in the second meeting with his two Ef. Think he had carb trouble in the first race then had a snapped chain in the last, he could have quite easily racked up 10 points, also beating darren mallet and jake knight in his 2nd heat! jules m
Two quite entertaining meetings was a bit dusty tho. I had a feeling rye might win possibly because bobc said they would lose:-) cant see the buccs making the final to be honest even with jay who rode very well. It was nice to see some very promising young riders out there yesterday they just need to avoid becoming a Wessexboy favourite and they might just go on to become something rather special! It was nice to see some very promising young riders out there yesterday they just need to avoid becoming a Wessexboy favourite and they might just go on to become something rather special! Outrageous comment He's a very good tipper, you just have to remember that the riders he has tipped will finish at the back. I am not sure how my mates at Mildenhall will view this (probably with disbelief) but I was in the pits with the King's Lynn riders, trying (largely unsuccessfully)to help, cheering for them and the King's Lynn team manager got me into the stadium (thanks again, Dale). Shame and disgrace beckon, I think. The sadness of the Young Stars set up is that so few people watch them ij home meetings. These lads put in 100% effort on limited resources and deserve better than that. I was assured that the Bucc's tracks have dirt on yet by heat 12 there was a huge blue groove on the first corner. Heaven knows what the Pirates tracks are like. Edited September 20, 2010 by Halifaxtiger
