Västervik will clinch their playoff berth if they win by more than ten points against Lejonen, and they have strengthen since last week's loss at Lejonen as both Rafal Okoniewski and Peter Ljung are back after injuries. They are replacing Nicolai Klindt and Joonas Kylmäkorpi who only managed three points between them.

 

On the other hand, Lejonen are weakened since their home win a week ago, as they have opted not to use R/R for Nicki Pedersen, nor using the services of Leigh Adams. The Aussie duo of Troy Batchelor and Dave Watt steps in to cover for the Lions's top riders.

The Hagfors team don't have much to ride for anymore, but to avoid last place in the standing. Grigorijs Laguta is back in the line-up after missing the away fixture, as he´s replaces Krzysztof Jablonski. At reserve, Henrik Gustafsson has been scratched after some below-par performances, as local rider Robin Törnqvist takes the No 6 race jacket.

 

Indianerna cruised to a 20 point win at home, and don't make any changes for tonight. However, it's a questionmark over the availability of Piotr Protasiewicz who crashed in Poland on Sunday, and may not be able to make it for tonight. In that case, R/R will be in use.

With Emil Sayfutdinov supposedly out for a while, the Pirates don't have many options left in their squad, besides Damian Balinski. Team manager Stefan Andersson has opted for the same eight riders that won at Rospiggarna a week ago, though only Robert Kosciecha and Tomas Bäck wears the same race jacket as then.

 

Rospiggarna missed the services of Przemyslaw Pawlicki last week, as he was injured. Sebastian Aldén rode then, but didn't set the world on fire so Pawlicki takes his place. That's the only change that team manager Mikael Teurnberg has made for this away fixture.

After last week's win at Vargarna despite being down by seven with four heats to go, Elit Vetlanda keeps the main body of the team intact. At reserve Martin Vaculik and last week's number eight junior Jonas Messing replaces Robin Aspegren and Adrian Gomolski, while Henric Lindqvist gets the nod at number eight, without scheduled rides.

 

Only Adrian Miedzinski gets the same race jacket as last week, as Peter Jansson makes a lot of shuffling in the riding order. Furthermore, Daniel King replaces fellow Brit Tai Woffinden in the line-up, for his fourth away meeting of the season. King will look to improve his numbers of 6 paid 7 points in 11 rides so far.

brandonbee, on the contrary Canal+ choice is very logical since that meeting involves one of the two teams that are fighting for

the 6th and final slot in the playoffs. Vargarna is the other team.

 

Currently the situations is like this;

a new date has been set for the postponed meeting between Piraterna and Rospiggarna.

The meeting will take place next wednesday (Aug 25th) at 19.00.

 

Piraterana dn Rospiggarna first wanted to have the meeting a week later so that they could

make it televised "play off teaser" with live Play off picks on tv.

However Svemo refused and decided that the meeting is to take place on the 25th.
