ladyluck
Seeds will be Emil, Nicki P, maybe Greg, and one but probably two Brits - Harris and, er, Nicholls??? I think Hancock's experience will see him top eight and with no need of a nomination. Jonsson, on the other hand, seems hopelessly out of touch these days and could very easily be left looking for a nomination. It would be hard, but not impossible, for BSI to deny Jonsson a nomination, while giving Harris a fifth one.
T.N.T.
So if Freddie gets into the top eight in his own right, what happens then? Kolodiej gets a place Think there's a good chance Laguta being in could mean Emil won't get a pick? There are 4 Wild Cards ..... Emil is assured of one as is Nicki should he finish outside the top 8 .... so that leaves just 2 Pick from Hancock, Harris, Woffinden or possibly even AJ
Heathcote
I would hazard a guess that next years GP series will contain 13 out of the current permanent 15 with Artem and Antonio replacing Zorro and Tai...all barring serious injury or retirements. I can't see BSI/IMG ommitting both Brits, doesnt make commercial sense to them, so Bomber will have to be handed a pick, which then makes it very difficult to justify ommitting anyone who finishes above him. Only way I can see Janusz getting a permanent GP spot is if either Greg or Nicki call it a day. One other rider that could be in trouble if he falls outside the top 8 would be Hans, but as said above how do you justify to Hans he is out of the series if the hand Bomber a wildcard. ladyluck
I also wasn`t sure it was applicable in this case-and i`m sure before someone has finished in the top eight and the top three in the challenge but i can`t remember what happened. It happened, sort of, in 2006. Andersen was fifth in the GPs and qualified via the GP Challenge at Vetlanda. However, Andersen didn't start the 2006 season as a GPer. He entered the fray as a "wild card" in Vojens and won the GP. He subsequently took over from the retiring Tony Rickardsson for the remainder of the season (although I think one more appearance was technically as a "wild card", with Ryan Sullivan taking Rickardsson's place). Andersen's GP challenge qualification was given priority and the ninth placed rider in the GPs, Jaroslaw Hampel, was sort of credited with eighth place, although Andersen was allowed the No 5 race jacket in the GPs. So, I guess what happens depends on what "spin" BSI can place on it.
racers and royals
No crashes tonight-rare in a meeting of this importance.
SuddenSam15
I think Hancock (never been out top 8 before and been in every gp) ... Nicki (3 times world champion) & Emil (been unlucky and future world champion) should all get wild cards if needed. And well done "Fast Freddie Lindgren" on a great ride in the run off ... class when under extreme pressue
MattK
Emil is as guaranteed as the world champion of a place in next years GP series. Interesting you should say that. I wonder what odds on Gollob retiring from the GPs if he wins this year?
marcel
HenryW, he went from likely meeting winner to non-qualifier. And GP racing is harsh. Kolodziej rode superbly for 4 races, but then blew it. All the best Rob he didnt blow it it was plain obvious he had machine trouble unless you are clueless ! hes a total racer and id rather have him in GP any day of the week than any of the struggling brits that are taking up spaces in it at the moment

Crazy robin
How to win freinds and influence people lesson went straight over this dicks head I actually agree with everything he put's really as if you're not good enough to qualify automatically after how many years why should you get a wild card because of a passport?. ladyluck
I wonder what odds on Gollob retiring from the GPs if he wins this year? His "maybe next year" comment after his engine failure at Cardiff didn't suggest retirement plans. Anyway, Gollob's in the form of his life, riding as well as he did a decade ago and what else can he really do?
Steve Shovlar
Thank god it was on Sopcast so I could record it and watch it delayed. Kolodziej croaked big time there. Would imagine he will get in if Lindgren makes a rare appearance in the top 8 this season. Well done to Toninio!!!!! Fantastic stuff and it's great he is back in the GP series. he was really missed. Laguta? Well he rode well tonight but is likely to be well out of his depth in 2011. Still, if Tai is around he will have someone to battle over the odd point or two. Certainly a rider who will be making up the numbers. Watched him a fair bit this year and I don't think he will cut it. However two Ruskies mean a russian round soon? As for the Brits. Nothing to say really. Poor as usual.
marcel
How to win freinds and influence people lesson went straight over this dicks head yep im a fan of watching races where all the riders mix it. this hasnt happened hardly at all this year for the brits in GP . you shouldnt keep getting in thru "back" door cause your passport states great britain

Kolodziej rode superbly for 4 races, but then blew it. All the best Rob Do you understand what ENGINE FAILURE means? They said on Polish telly Kolodziej had problems with his bike (you'd have to be blind not to notice that) and as it turned out a bit later - they found a litte pebble in a nozzle (?) of his bike. So no, he didn't blow it, he was unbelievably unlucky. Would have easily qualified if he hadn't got that bike problem. And now BSI are gonna give a charity wild card for Harris (5th time in a row?). Is he better than Kolodziej? No, he's not... but that's politics. I'm only happy the young Laguta got in - the Russians are crazy and I've got a feeling he may do much better than Woffinden next year.
