Looks like an early Jap to me but this is not really my field. And I guess that the long/grasstrack bikes looked similar enough. Any ideas for a date? Looks late 40s/early 50s to me. From that picture I couldn't tell you the make of the chassis, but is in grasstrack spec with brakes fitted front and rear and number plates.
