FenTiger666
The NDL has really turned shambolic in the last 5 or 6 weeks and the buck should stop at the top. Maybe time for a complete re think Then put someone who knows what they are doing at the top instead of a "puppet" who is just there to hand out trophies, and if the weather turns bad this week he will not even be able to do that. The NDL this season has been, without doubt, a joke. There are people putting their hard earned money into riding, watching, sponsoring and promoting in this league and the BSPA have done nothing but take the "p**s" out of all these people all season. The BSPA Management Committee should be ashamed of itself. The NDL should have its rules set, and conference at the same time as the EL and PL and lets get British Speedway back where it belongs. I know of a number of die hard fans at a number of clubs who have stopped going this season and it will take alot to get them back, if ever. BSPA - Bleedin Stupid Pathetic Amateurs !!! BobC
Very sad to read your post FT666. However it does hit the nail squarely on the head. I agree 100% with what you have said.

rhidassa
I was expecting a larger charge than that to be honest.. being Rye House and an event and that

Just to correct you slightly - the NDL has not been a joke as there has been some terrific speedway, several championship challenging sides, the hugely successful re-emergence of the Heathens and a large number of young British riders making substantial progress. The management of the league as a whole has however been riven with inconsistency, the bending of rules and the shambolic farce over the staging of the NLRC and gives the impression that the BSPA regard the NDL as a very poor relation indeed. You are dead right on the date that rules should be set (it is very difficult to understand why they are done at any other time)and that those who put time and money into the sport at this level have very good grounds to feel disillusioned. The only good point is that the weather forecast for this meeting has changed (quite remarkably) from heavy rain to sunny.I don't rule out a change back, though Edited October 28, 2010 by Halifaxtiger
Storming Norman
Fair points, well made Tiger. Despite all the valid comments about NL management, there is a potentially cracking meeting available at Rye on Saturday night for £10. The line up is attractive and frankly the riders deserve a good turn out to watch them. Now there is a good weather forecast, I will be going and I'm starting to really loook forward to it. Looking at the strong line up it's hard to pick a winner but if pushed I'll go for 1st Glanz, 2nd Mallett, 3rd Cook but there are loads of others like Barrie Evans that also could be on the rostrum and guys like Baseby capable of being spoilers in any race. Parsloes 1928 nearly
Any news on the final line up for tonights meeting? Youy're kidding aren't you...? Actually release any details about this meeting..? That would suggest it was being taken seriously and that's long since been shown as not happening! Does anyone still believe this is likely to go ahead tonight...? I'm certainly not going to bother to find out..
Storming Norman
I think you should reconsider, Derek. It's now about the riders and it should be a cracker. I'm sure Mark Baseby, Jay Herne and Danny Warwick would appreciate your support. It would be a shame if they get on the rostrum and you're not there to see it. Get your £10 out! Hmm, but on the other hand Mark & Danny know what a 'jinx' I am...! They've far more chance of getting on that rostrum if I'm NOT there to see them!! Good luck to both lads. BTw, what happened to my original tip Simon Lambert...?! See comment about jinxing above!!
