That shows the folly of arranging such an event 'in-season'

I doubt it. Hasn't he been a Comets rider all season anyhow..?

But he is in the NLRC if that meeting takes preceedence does it matter which club he rides for?

Hmm, I'd be surprised...

So Workington are staging the YS Final on the Saturday then... Had they not considered Friday..?

I think it would be in everyones interest to get this meeting on as early as possible this week.Apart from the fact sat is the NLRC at rye it would make a re run in the event of a rain of almost impossible..

I'm sure for one of the nlrc original dates, workington had a meeting and were to use r/r for Cook but then either our meeting was off or the nlrc was moved.

Also, Cook has mentioned on facebook that he'll miss workington's last meeting of the season, the final.

I would have thought they'd go for friday and use saturday as a back up...

Just to clarify the Cook situation;

"17.4.7.7 On the occasion of the National League Riders Championship Meeting, any Rider competing in a PL 1 – 7 must take part as the NLRC Meeting shall take precedence over Premier League racing on that date only for all competing Riders in the PL who qualify for, or are nominated for the NLRC."

Okay - then all the more reason for Workington to arrange their leg of the final for Friday I'd say.

Has a date yet been set for the YS meeting..?

SO after cancelling the original staging of the national league riders championship the restaging will be on the 30 of nov. well what a good idea from the controllers, after the first cockup another could be in the making.because if it is rained off on sat it will be restaged on sunday.now a very importment meeting is to be run on sunday the biggest meeting for the national league.the second legg of the league playoffs. So Buxton could be withuot Craig Cook and Adam Allott and Newport would be without Kyel Newman.Buxton already have Bethell Morris missing so what sort of a team could they putt out in what is the most importent meeting ever for them.Newport missing Kurts and Newman .What kind of a joke will that be.

So this total "cock up" of a meeting takes place this Saturday at Rye 7pm. rolleyes.gif

The field has already been weakened with riders not available and injuries etc, and now I've just read that if it's rained off it will be the next day - 2pm Sunday? ohmy.gif

There are additional riders that cannot compete on Sunday and its no wonder the sport is in the shambles it is.

With Rye away at Workington in the YS final and poor recent crowds at Hoddesdon I cannot see many people committing to a meeting that may be Saturday or a Sunday.

I've always done my best to attend this meeting but to be honest I am not the slightest bit bothered this time, in fact I'm very peed off with speedway in general atm and will be very selective of any meetings I attend next year.

It can't really go ahead on Sunday surely...: that would clash with the Play Off Final...

The decision to cancel this previously has backfired massively...

Why, oh why, oh why wasn't it held when it should and could have been.

BTW, it will only take rain tomorrow in Norfolk tomorrow and rain in Buxton on Sunday to see both the KOC and League title undecided in the NL this year...

Again one has to ask how did those supposedly in charge manage to get us to this state of affairs..
