Heathens New Signing

Recommended Posts

The Heathens have moved swiftly to fill the gap left by the injury to Jon armo armstrong, they have signed barrie evans from the sadly defunct mildenhall team, IMO this is a good move, because with some critical meetings coming up in our push to cement a play off spot, especially away meetings against IOW and the Buccs, it would have been to much of a risk to go in with R.R as if any of our riders were to have an off night, it would have been difficult to cover that also, good luck barrie, and the rest of the guys.

Good luck to Barrie, and could we have him back for 2011 season please ?. Also hope the rest of this years Mildenhall squad gets fixed up with new clubs asap. And of course, hope you get back to fitness soon Jon.

Good to see that Barrie has got himself fixed up with a new club, following the unfortunate events which meant he was in the position where he needed to look for another club.

He's been very loyal to the Fen Tigers since he returned to the club and done a fantastic job both at the end of the PL era and back into the NL. Hopefully, he'll return to Mildenhall in the near future and have his loyalty suitably repaid by a future promotion.

All the best, Barrie.

I certainly have no complaints about this signing. I'm gutted for Jon as he has been in superb form of late and I sincerely hope that he recovers quickly and is able to hit the ground running again. But life goes on and the club must do what is best for it to succeed on track. I agree that r/r would have been a big risk for an extended period. I'm sure Barrie will slot in and help maintain our play-off push. :approve:
