Mimmo
With the weather set to be fair, there is no better chance than to come along to the Norfolk Arena tomorrow evening to witness National Development League racing at it's best. League leaders and potential champions Newport are in town, and their visit last season provided one of the best meetings of the year. For those folk who think that this level of racing is probably slow with riders showing little control, comments that have been made to me at times, then come and see how wrong you are. So far this year Jake Knight has set a time of 62.00; Simon Lambert 62.10; Adam Lowe 62.72; Darren Mallett 62.75; Scott Campos 63.53 with fastest visitor being Jerran Hart 60.01. Current track record is 59.75 by Simon Lambert. Why have I pointed those times out? Well if the doubters compare them with some of the times recorded during the World Team Cup meeting last Monday which were with one exception ALL slower than the current NDL Track Record: - Tai Woffinden 62.22 Magnus Zetterstrom 62.34 Fredrik Lindgren 62.37 Jonas Davidsson 62.50 Scott Nicholls 62.78 & Lee Richardson 63.22 I know that speed doesn't make a good race, but the above examples do prove that there is little difference between the three leagues from that point of view. Crowds at King's Lynn are not the best, which is such a terrible shame, and the riders and promotion really do deserve better. Hopefully we'll be boosted for the remainder of the campaign by some Mildenhall supporters following their oh so sad closure. They would be most welcome, even if they opted to cheer the opposition on..haha!! It was reported in the Friday edition of the Lynn News that the meeting starts at 7.30pm, but this is incorrect, it has a start time of 7.00pm Line-up's are as follows: - KING'S LYNN 1) Simon Lambert (Capt) 2) R/R 3) Scott Campos 4) Cal McDade 5) Adam Lowe 6) Lewis Kerr 7) Chris Widman Team manager: Keith Chapman NEWPORT 1) James Brundle 2) Tim Webster 3) Mark Jones 4) Tony Atkin (Capt) 5) Kyle Newman 6) James White-Williams 7) Tom Young Team manager: Nicky Mallett

I am surprised at the times on Monday - on the television the track looked to be prepared for fast times and yet no better than a lot of the NL times. Yes there are some processional races in the NL but look the EL. No different but you pay less. The "top man" in charge for the Young Stars against a very strong Newport side in what could well be a cracking match. Hope the weather allows for a good track to be prepared. Mimmo
Why is Jake missing? I don't know the answer to that Ivan. I did wonder that as he was in Somerset last night, whether he might be taking Darren Mallett's place in the Stars line-up at Newport tomorrow afternoon. Am interested but, alas, won't be there as my regular lift is going to the grasstrack masters meeting here in Kent.

Allitt Racing
Jon Armstrong replaces James Brundle for Newport now tommorow. Jake Knight is with the Stars at Newport, Jake has been going well and gets his chance to in the PL. One thing is for sure he will be full on 100% which is all you can ask of any rider.
