Jacques
Gutted for Bomber and the boys They rode out of their skins..No citicisms of the riders here. Still really proud of them Well done Polska!

chun
Top class speedway riders can ride ANY track shape or size. Care to name such 'junior tracks'? half of the tracks in the uk are junior tracks, one of the reasons team gb does not do well on the world stage
ciderman
What a shame they never got the bronze medal, some great racing! Think we know who is really the British No1. Nicholl's failure to win a race really goes to show that he struggles against the top riders in the world and his GP posistions really are a reflection of his true ability. On this showing the top 2 Brits are in the Gp's.
bluebee
Great effort from all of the GB team. They were so close and I hope that this is seen as a positive sign that British riders can mix it on the big stage. This should be seen as a step forward - though there will always be the knockers, I suppose. And a big pat on the back for Rob Lyon
mickthemuppet
All Sporting people who do not follow speedway should watch this meeting. It was simply great. Has the ever been a world final where there has only been 11 points between the four teams. Poles were worthy winners
bigcatdiary
half of the tracks in the uk are junior tracks, one of the reasons team gb does not do well on the world stage And the other reason is that to few of our riders can trap consistently. Overall a good final which was very watchable but the bottom line is we came 4th and however much Pearson and Tatum bleat on about Bronze Medals (and boy did they bleat)we still missed out because we couldnt consistently get out of the starts. RideHard
unlucky team GB, gave it their best shot and cant fault them for that. Tai has proved in this world cup that he has become a man from a boy. really mature approach and rode his heart out. if Bomber had won the tactical i think we would of maybe even gone on to win it but it wasnt to be. looking forward to next year! On this showing the top 2 Brits are in the Gp's. Gutted after the Swedes stole our bronze medal!!!! Lindback does nothing all day & then produces 2 rides like that from nothing which is typical!! we actually outscored the Swedes but they got 4 from their joker to our none which was the difference in the end. Thought Bomber was absolute class (apart from the Joker!!)& Tai & Rico tried hard. Steady did what i thought he would do & that was be totally outclassed by every1 as well outta his depth at this level but biggest disappointment was Nicholls with 5 3rds only. After he flew at KL i thought he was back to his best but struggled from the off 2day & couldnt get going. Turned in2 a cracking meeting tho & never really expected us to get so close so makes it even harder to swallow to get pipped at the post!!! Big well done to the Poles, showing they can produce it outside their own country.
spook
The constant big-ing it up on Sky about bronze means nothing, it is second losers. I would slightly disagree with you though that I thought Team GB did well today, and were unlucky not to nick third spot, did well yesterday when others failed, so I think they do deserve to be given top four billing, rather than top 6. top 4 ranking from this year's SWC aside, does that mean that GB are genuinely better than Australia and Russia then? IMHO after adding Emil, Crump and Pedersen ...and Sweden performing as per the quality within their team ..... we are behind Poland, Denmark, Australia and Sweden ..... leaving us on a par with Russia and attempting to defy the odds on an annual basis now Being patriotic I like our riders and the effort that they put in but for one reason or another they are all fragile and have shown this on an annual basis down the years....... its always enjoyable to see them click and stick some results together but the simple fact of the matter is that they are constantly riding against the odds and I cannot see us being propelled back into being contenders until fresh bona fide world class brits come along Edited August 1, 2010 by spook
spencebel
Team GB need to gate. Did not want the poles to win, they make such a god of Gollob. Glad to see that NKI was ok after his crash,Panthers need him.
Daniel Smith
I think we done bloody well today. We may have come outside a medal position but to only finish 11 points behind the winners is some achievement in my eyes as I certainly wasn't expecting to be that close

comebackkings
Team GB will never be good enough to do anything in the SWC while we continue to allow second rate foreign riders to stop British riders from getting a team place. Why are Poland so good? They give Polish riders team places and a chance to ride in their top leagues. While we allow teams to track a team of non Brits we will always be second rate. Waits for the "little englander" comments to follow. Apart from that the GB lads did everything they could in tricky conditions. Well done to the Poles on a well deserved victory, from last place after 5 heats as well.
universal18
have to say that after all is said and done...Poland were deserved winners...but Team GB for me did us all proud. They battled hard and ok they fell just short of a medal placing, but I for one am VERY PROUD of what our boys did out in Vojens today. Fighting spirit to the end...well done boys
orion
Should have got a medal today but Lyon used our Joker in the wrong place ....two years now without a medal now pretty poor show with the side we got .

Glad to see that NKI was ok after his crash,Panthers need him. Me personally thinks he's GOD in World Speedway, let alone just Poland. He may never have won and possibly never will win a World Championship but in my life time he's the greatest speedway rider to grace this beautiful planet. Vincent Vega
Agree with you 100% Orion they should make Jon Cook TM next year or if he turns the job down your man at Swindon Big Ron. Rob Lyon thought he was managing Kings Lynn in a PL match.
