Ben91
This topic has been discussed over and over again, until a time if/when the decision is changed then have a moan then. Lots of other team try to pull a fast one or cheat, why rye have become the scapegoat for this I have no idea, It was pretty inventive of len to try and bend the rules and use Tyson, that's the old school type mangememt which won us trophies a few years back, I admit, Tysons points should really be taken off, but they haven't been so there's no argument unless there is an appeal. 771neil
I am of the opinion that, and it is just my opinion, all young Brits have gone backwards this year, I really do not know what is happening in speedway. Lots of them just don't appear to have the grit and determination of the Poles and Aussies etc. it's as though they want everything handed to them on a plate and I fear for the future of this great sport. Well I've had my rant – all just my opinion. so marc owen, tom perry, ashley morris or kyle howarth have gone backwards I don t think so you even said kyle looks a good prospect as for everything handed to them maybe you should look at the aussies for that don t see any of the lads in my list with vans places to stay enough money to ride every day

Well I've had my rant – all just my opinion. Poles, Aussies etc. have everything handed to them on a plate...if promotions treated British riders equally well then perhaps the grit and determination might shine through. Difficult though when you're trying to hold down a job etc. - whilst non-British riders are unable to work and therefore have all the time in the world to practice or work on their bikes... BossMan
Poles, Aussies etc. have everything handed to them on a plate... ......... or they show grit, determination and commitment leading to help / sponsorship. I have a friend who plays on the golf tour he managed to complete all his A levels worked part time and still found the time to practise / play hard at his sport. He fully deserves his success and if any youngster had what he does they would be on their way to the GP's. Shadders
http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/Sport/Speedway/ footage here. Can't see why Shane was excluded in heat 2... Ok, he slightly locked up coming out of the second bend, but in the recent Rockets vs Monarchs PL match Matthew Whethers locked up in the same place in heat 15 causing the closely following Jordan Frampton to fall... Frampton was excluded... Almost identical incidents with two different conclusions... Do the referees have a special coin they toss to help make their decisions or is there some logic involved? scribbler
......... or they (Aussies and other non-Brits)show grit, determination and commitment – leading to help / sponsorship. Many promoters give the non-Brits a place in a team without even seeing them - and set up sponsorship for them. They seem to think that any non Brit must be better than a British rider. Thankfully they are sometimes wrong...
