WIE-JA
Looks like Ward bottled it in his final heat and had to redeem himself in the run-off.
dirt
Does anyone know how the points system works? If you dont get a bonus for winning a round it is an absolute travesty of justice. Why even have a run-off? there must be extra points for the winner surely? otherwise it will be another case of the FIM bottleing it badly. Â Bogdanovs would have to be given the bonus you advocate for winning the first round, of course, unless this bonus merely comes into play in a race-off situation. That would be unfair, I'm sure you would agree. It doesn't look like you get any bonus, just the honour of having won the meeting and congratulations to Ward on his win. dirt
Tomorrow morning I'm going to Junior World final in Daugavpils  1 Mad Max 2 Artem 3 Vadim 4 Slavik  I know - so will lol... How was the meeting? Did you enjoy it? Nice weather for a change. What happened Madman Max??
ladyluck
THE FIRST ROUND WAS ABONDONED OR CALLED OFF - NO ONE WON IT. Â Whether you like it or not (and I know you don't), Maksim Bogdanovs won the truncated first round. That's what the record books will show. If the meeting hadn't been concluded as far as the FIM are concerned it would have been re-staged. So if Ward gets a premium for winning in Daugavpils, Bogdanovs should get one for his win in Gdansk. They both should as should the winner opf the final round, but something tells me that would make too much sense for the FIM to implement. hedders
We were at the meeting and in our opinion in heat 7 Bogdanov was lucky not to be excluded. After watching the TV replay later in the hotel room, it shows that Bogdanov fell first, running in to the corner erraticly very close to the inside. He was already off before Pawlicki hit the fence. We should imagine from the referee's view it would be hard to make a different decision as they were so far apart. With Pawlicki being next to Ward racing for position it would be hard to notice who fell first without the aid of TV replays (the replay we saw was from the high camera). The referees decisions were generally good all night.

Sets it up for a great final round though.

The run off is needed for the presentation of trophies and prize money.
S.B
lol... How was the meeting? Did you enjoy it? Nice weather for a change. What happened Madman Max?? Gratitulate for Ward victory My opinion about MadMax - "result pressure", new silencers and wrong track training. It is no secret. that the track is getting ready for Bogdanov. He has a star trick - pass first turn very nearly the bend. Therefore, the this turn part was made very firmly and the outer turn part almost "was not working". Only win the start. but this was a problem. This showed re-run for first place with Ward. Darcy won the start. drove slowly. but on the correct trajectory. Bogdanov was faster. but he had no trajectory choice But as we say - to win the strongest. New silencers - a great evil and those who want to introduce them to the speedway - sports criminals

Said Hougaard made a protest after his last ride against Bogdonov engine, on the updates. Also would be interested to hear what happened to Ward in his last ride. Maybe he was too fast, his engine was too big. was his bike illegal?
S.B
Hougaard filed a protest about Bogdanov high engine volume. When it was time to come and pay money to check Hougaard didn't do it. If the engine capacity was correct. Hougaard would have lost money

ladyluck
Shouldn't cost much for an engine test. How much were they asking for? Â Probably not a great deal, but more than the FIM were paying Hougaard for being there.

If the engine capacity was correct. Hougaard would have lost money  this is something that is majorly wrong with the system... the onus is placed on the riders and not the organisation to include effective mandatory checking as part of the process  99% of the time the riders won't even bother complaining..... let alone end up stumping up the money
S.B
In the past year in the Polish league for disassembly and inspection of the engine volume had to pay 3,000 euro Engine wrong - money returned. Rider disqualified Engine right - money give verifiable rider as compensation I think that in Junior Finals money bail is the same According to the latest information. Hougaard protest is not about Bogdanow engine large volume. Mainly - absence of a special tank for oil collecting. that meant. that the bike does not meet the requirements and spoils the environment. But in the official test Hougaard did not come. that delete his protest In general, Dutches are environments great fighters. Namely Dutches(Hougaard and Bach) disagreed other riders general request about old types silencers using.
