I am not saying there are no talented riders from Aussie, there are some like Holder or Ward, but Australia is certainly not dominating the junior world speedway scene. Amazingly this year, Poland struggles, too! And so do Sweden and Denmark!

The Poles are certainly not as strong as they once were, the result perhaps of changes made ahead of the 2006 season, when the "one foreign" rider rule was swept aside? That saw the likes of Sayfutdinov, Holder, Woffinden and so on taking rides that would previously have gone to Polish youngsters. The "foreign" riders are also encroaching on the Danish league, while Sweden's leagues are dominated by "foreign" riders. The "turnover" of riders also isn't so great these days. In years gone by we could've expected a Hancock or a Gollob to have bowed out, but now they seem to be able to go on indefinitely.

Latest is this

Judge has made a decision by the reason of secondary rainfalls about completion of profession (contest). It include after three results series of starts 13.

So does that mean its been called off after all having 3 rides ?

Yes, result stands after heat 12 as all riders have had 3 rides.

while Bogdanovs would be my "dark horse".

Good name for a horse that..especially one that goes well on a wet/heavy track.

Latvia's Bogdanovs could be a spoiler,

He certainly was, he spoiled the entire evening. Not that it was his fault. The meeting either should have been rescheduled the following night, rescheduled for another date, or scrapped and just had a two round series. If this was a traditional one off final, the meeting either wouldnt of even started, or been abandoned, either way it would have been rescheduled, prob for the next night. No way you can let that result stand. Some riders would have had their 3 hardest heats first, and others their 3 easiest rides, so it is rediculous. The only reason they must of used for this decision to let the points count is - that its a 3 round series and the disadvantaged will get their chance to redeem themselves over the next two. Well near enoughis not good enough for me,, this whole series has been comprimised and whatever the next two rounds produce, I doubt it will make up for this debacle. I was never keen on the decision to change from a one off final, and this has to be the most disappointing thing to possibly happen. The result has already been tarnished - after only 3 rides of what should of been a 15 ride series. 15 rides in decent conditions too not 3 in the mud!!

As Bogdanovs had qualified from Lendava with 12 points and an ef,and won the semi final at Krsko with a 15 point score, it's not a suprise to see him at the top. Shame that the meeting didn't get completed he could of finished with a bigger lead. The next meeting is at his home track so it's looking good :approve:

In 2005(?) the junior final was held in appauling conditions for 12 heats, with two riders on equal on points, they tossed a coin to decide who would be champion.

I agree with what they've done and I doubt the result would have been too different as Artem and Maksims are two quality riders.

Must be his lucky year. Not too fair on the rest but. The riders should protest and go on strike until this frakus is sorted.

The crowd must have been in raptures.

Bring back the one off final I say. And get it right.

If they have to stage it in Australia, do it. Even the winter here is drier than the summer over their and our summer basically never rains at all. We did invent the sport as well.
