Steve Shovlar
I have just got in and watched it. Fantastic GP and loads of great racing, with a couple of spats to bring it to fever pitch. Will easily be the best GP in the UK this weekend buut will only get 1% of the bore fest at Silverstone tomorrow afternoon. Well done to Noddy. Totally deserved. Bad luck on Gollob as well, buut he will hopefully bounceback to take the crown this year. Looking forward to Wednesday to welcome Holder home with his trophy! falkirkbandit
Cracking GP, well done Chris Holder, was gutted for Tomasz though. I'm always up at my folks on sunday's for lunch and dinner so hopefully the re-run will be on Sky at some point, dad likes watching them as he's always working on saturday nights, he'll enjoy this one haha! KrisB
Fantastic from Holder. Agree disappointed for Gollob. Thought the track should have been watered but not a drop; got too slick. Great meeting - think the attendance may have been the best so far. 'Entertainment' was the worse ever - Miss Frank were miscast, and the regular blokey who sings the anthems did his usual interval slot, as usual BADLY. Clearly he comes with the Stadium as the regular turn.
speedway2011
Just got home, crowd seemed down in attendance from last year, entertainment was awful, the royal navy, what was that about, so boring, miss frank and ruth lorenko howling, the welsh guy ok for the mens working clubs, then the racing, first number of heats it was won out of gate two then gate one took its turn, track was poor, too slick for proper racing.couldnt hear the tannoy on the 2nd bend up hihh' Brits were a joke, if thats the best we have then whats the point in going to kings lynn in 2 weeks, the promotors are to blame, they get in too many weak foriegners and not give up and coming brits a go.Glad holder won, shame about gollob. To me cardiff has worn out, been there done that, dont think i will bother next year.
ladyluck
The Brits were not really competitive, only Woffinden with a lucky race win. The last time a Pole was World Champion the wrong one won, what price Hampel this year? The Danes were remarkably stupid in Ht 19 where they could easily have team rode Woffinden out of the heat instead of knocking seven colours out of each other while Woffinden steamed away. But credit to Woffinden, it was a sweet move on the first two turns, but was made very easy for him. You have to think that Gollob and Hampel would have taken the pragmatic approach. Plech might've made the run-off but for a bit of truly bizarre refereeing in his final heat. Just looking at the all important top eight and it's all the Poles, all the Australians and all the Danes, while both the Swedes and the Britons are missing. It's not just Britain that looks to be facing a bleak future. The Swedes aren't in much better shape, in spite of their much-vaunted system. However, a glance at the Swedish league gives a clear insight as to why: most of the clubs have two or three Poles.

Fantastic result, the right result, Chris fully deserved his win, Gollob will be back and take the title this year, then retire on the spot. I have to agree with others though, this was the tenth aniversary meeting, and the pre meeting entertainment was crap, imo the attendance was also down on previous years.Paul Childs was excellent, sang the Welsh national anthem impecably as usual Sky, what the hell you playing at, people have hardly left the stadium and your showing the replay!! BSI, sort it out otherwise the crowds will dip even further next year, the food prices were well, extortionant to put it mildly, talk about a captive audiance. so what do you do, you either take your own or buy it before you come into the Stadium, simple, and unless you lower your prices thats what more and more will do. This is suposed to be British Speedways showpiece event, no wonder we get no coverage from the terestial boys on the BBC or ITV, plenty of British GP motor racing, but not a mention about the British speedway GP on two wheels, i still say the promoting of the event could be a whole lot better!! Still as i said, the result was right and fully deserved. It gets better and better, a GP winner on Cardiffs tenth Aniversary, and half the back up staff come from poole, ang on, am i trying to say something here, wink wink, nudge nudge of course, im not Gloating,,,, much!!! We must be doing something right down here!!! Edited July 11, 2010 by Starman2006

T.N.T.
Brilliant meeting, not too many follow the leader, some great p[asses and overall a great day in all. Roll on 2011 .... now back to catch some more ZzZzZzZzZzZz's
piratewoman
Very enjoyable meeting - tough on Gollob, but great for Noddy. [Pedant mode on] One thing that really bugged me, though, about the Sky coverage - if the first Cardiff GP was in 2001, then the tenth anniversary meeting will be in 2011, i.e. ten years later. It was the tenth staging last night, but the ninth anniversary of the first staging. [Pedant mode off]

Well done to Jarek Hampel who kept his cool and professionalism in his interview after Nicki turned left on him and almost put him in the top tier, which is more than can be said for Holder/Crump and Pedersen/Andersen but what the hell it made good TV.. pirate paul
Thought it was a good GP racing wise, lookslike they've finally sussed out how to lay a decent track. Really thought the crowd seemed down this year though, and what happened to all the 10 year anniversary stuff? THought the 'entertainment' was bloody awful, a couple of x factor rejects? Surely they can do better. Also the bars where we were sat ran out of just about everything, and the PA was awful, couldn't hear a thing up in the top level. chopper
Brilliant,,, thought the racing in nearly all heats had something going on, not always for first. Who cares about the pre meeting entertainment , i was there for the racing, the track was a credit to the people that layed it, smooth with some good grip out wide for guys like Gollob to use. Biggest dissapointment was Gollob having an e/f,could have been an even better final than it was. Brilliant weekend all round as far as im concerned. Cheers Chopper
Odds On
Well done to Jarek Hampel who kept his cool and professionalism in his interview after Nicki turned left on him and almost put him in the top tier, which is more than can be said for Holder/Crump and Pedersen/Andersen but what the hell it made good TV.. watch the head on view, NP doesn't turn left on JH, when coming out of bend 4 he was riding the same line as nearly all the other riders were, making the straights sweeping a longer, Holder was a worthy winner last night, can't help but think that the Aussie and Danish handbags were stage managed, after all none of them even looked like throwing a glove let a lone a punch! Steve Shovlar
Holder was good when he gated but I can’t remember him passing anyone and he couldn’t handle it when Crump pushed him hard. Deserved the win though after Gollob went out. He passed riders every single time he missed the gate. A shame Gollob went out as he would have made the final a hell of a battle with Holder. In the end holder deserved his first GP win.He was leading when Crump fell, on his own. Crump should never have been allowed back into that heat which ended with Holder finishing third. Noddy is one of the new young riders who along with Emil with revitalise the GP series. Out with the old and in with the youngsters who have no fear.
