Excellent GP - the best for racing I can remember - until they graded the life out the track for the last 4 qualifying heats and the finals. Why???!!!

PA was awful - couldn't hear any of it on 3rd bend.

Great day out and well done to Cardiff council for the street fair - nice way to kill a couple of hours with 4 kids!

Everyone kept telling us on Sky that it was the best Cardiff ever. Not so sure myself, but at least the track was smooth and there were no ruts and holes like in the earlier years.

Unlucky for Gollob that his bike packed up in the semi. If he'd gone on to win that then he and Hampel would have got red and blue in the final leaving Holder with white, which would have been difficult.

Having said that Holder deserved his win, he rode his backside off all night.

Disappointing from all 3 Brits, Woffinden the only race winner, helped by two Danes throwing their bikes at each other. Already starting to look like we will be relying on nominations again for next year.

Official crowd figure released as 44,150. First one I missed buut wathing it on TV it certainly looks the biggest crowd with the top tier much busier than previous British GP's.

Bet you are pig sick that the first one you miss and Noddy does the bizzo Mr S.

Well done to him, an exciting young rider who, like Emil, deserves his place at the top table.

Jason did well until his fall. IMO he should have been excluded but, like all riders, it's not his decision. After that he didn't look quite the same but second is better than nowhere and he was first to congratulate Chris, a fellow Aussie who I expect he has high hopes for.

I sort of agree with the idea of out with old etc but the competition would be the poorer without the likes of Gollob and Crump although I think Greg is beginning to show the signs.

Pre meeting "entertainment" was utterly abysmal, at least previous acts like Belinda Carlisle, Suzi Quatro, Tony Hadley et al did used to be someboday and have some talent............................X Factor rejects though, complete dross.

Great meeting , and congrats to Holder . I thought the crowd was way down on previous years , and the top tier on start/finish line was nearly empty from where i was seated on the third bend .

Dont know who they can nominate next year its going to be a problem . Bombers not good but hes the only one nominatable but I have a feeling Bomber will qualify through the gp qualifying route . Cant see Tai getting the nod again unless he has a big improvement in his riding . A lot may depend on how well the W.C. goes

I thought it was a pretty good GP not as good as some we have seen this year but entertaining none the less.

Pleased Holder got his first win, he has been a good addition to the series this year, also not being a Gollob fan I loved the first semi final lol :P

Fantastic result, the right result, Chris fully deserved his win, Gollob will be back and take the title this year, then retire on the spot

Agreed on your first point, huge congratulations to Chris :) Gollob said on SKY that he'll try to win Cardiff next year so that doesn't sound like he has any intentions of giving up just yet ......

Good meeting, track was good in that it didn't become dangerous, didn't agreed with the Pedersen/Watt refereeing decision, the build up of muck near the fencing that is never cleared didn't help Watt, they need a few people with hand rakes to get rid of that! Was the track watered at all during the night?

Was it as hot inside the stadium as it was outside?

Top tier, start/finish line always sparse, cos ticket prices much higher than back-straight. Better for TV to concentrate lots of people along the back straight.

He passed riders every single time he missed the gate.

A shame Gollob went out as he would have made the final a hell of a battle with Holder. In the end holder deserved his first GP win.He was leading when Crump fell, on his own. Crump should never have been allowed back into that heat which ended with Holder finishing third. Noddy is one of the new young riders who along with Emil with revitalise the GP series. Out with the old and in with the youngsters who have no fear.

Don't think I agreee with out with the old in with the new. If you got rid of everyone over 30 the standard would be a lot lower. Noddy and Emil will only become great riders by beating the likes of Crump and Gollob. If the only have to beat people like Lindgren, Bomber and Woffinden they hardly need to be any better than they are now.

I think Holder was as impressive off the track as he was on it. The way he got his feet on the ground and calmed down very quickly after his issue with Crump was I thought, very mature and an ingredient to become a very great rider, especially compared to the way Nicki P., for example starts throwing thing around and loses his cool when things go wrong. Thats one reason why I think we have seen the last of Nicki as a real top-liner. Crump needed anger-management training to deal with those things but Holder has dealt with it at a much younger age. Have to say he really is a true sportsman.

Holder would have had a punch up with Crump had Crump not made a quick escape to the pits, it was only then Holder had time to chill down.

Good Grand Prix last night.

It used to be the case at Cardiff that the atmosphere was great, shame about the racing, but that no longer seems to be the case.

Last night there was some terrific racing. And add in the tantrums thrown between the Aussies and the Danes, it all made it a great meeting.

All the best

Rob

thank god they played the BRITISH national anthem. the welsh one was silent and rather embaressing!

Not where we were!

We had about five young welsh children between 7 and 12 next to us and they sang their hearts out for their Welsh anthem. Also Welsh behind us - so they sang loud and proud in our sector.

Overall a good meeting - well done Holder, he has shown constant improvement over the GP's and has been fun to watch. A deserved winner.

The Public address system was absolutely dire last night. You couldn't understand a word being said.

And I'm sure I read somewhere that the fireworks would be the best ever to celebrate 10 years - well, sorry but they were not good at all this year!

But great improvements in activities like Fanzone. We didn't attend ourselves but these things are for the kids and I am sure they had a great time. The street was heaving.

Overall as a weekend package - a great time with friends from up and down the country and in fact from Poland, Australia and around the world.

Quick story - we met a young lady at a tram stop in Torun, she travelled with us to the GP and guided us to the track. I gave her my card and said if you come over to Cardiff call us.

SHE DID and that is what Cardiff is all about, meeting up with people who you normally wouldn't get to see.

It was a lovely surprise.

Oh well - bring on 2011!

Fascinating... imagine her face after when she realised she dialed the wrong number!

What a day! Left Wellingborough at 8am for the trip to Cardiff,to meet with friends

and have a great day (NOT) Got 30miles away then daughter says! I forgot the tickets

so returned towards home, hubby met us at the M1 /A14 Kettering gave us our tickets

we then went back to Cardiff arriving at 3-30pm,gutted that i missed the whole days build-up.

Meeting ok,then in the car for the journey home arrived after midnight. We spent longer in the CAR

than we did in Cardiff! So for me 2010 Cardiff GP is one i want to forget! Oh and next yr,STAYING OVER.

my only complaint?

i printed off the race order before i went so that the kids could fill in the programme too!

Imagine my surprise when after spending £8 for a programme i had to write the riders down myself!

the web programmes were better than the real one, i wont make that mistake again!
