Steve Shovlar
Semi Final... Bjerre completely and utterly bottled it, he should of picked gate 4, as would of had a choice of dirt line or cut back, but bottled it, and wanted to stay on the inside. Good meeting, Lindgren was superb, glad Harris didnt win, cant stand his fans, especially booing Freddy at the end, idiots. Nice seeing, Bob, Bren and Dave again, one more meeting for me, and thats it for another year. How can you say Bjerre bottled the semi when he made the final? Though I got a text saying Holder was robbed of second by the ref. ( and no I wasn't there or know how close it was) The Harris/Cov fans booing the winner is an absolute disgrace if true. Rigsby
I wouldn't hold your breath with the Peterborough track record holder in the field Rather unfortunate that, just got out in front on a heavy track but back to reality tonight. David Hoggart certainly didn't pull any punches with his forthright condemnation of the Chris Harris rumours - keyboard commandos!! Cracking interview that was! Mimmo
Oh dear, I just know that I'm gonna be in the minority here, but I found the meeting very run of the mill stuff, and as far as I'm concerned there were only seven good races out of the twenty-four, and that doesn't make for a good meeting.......or am I wrong? I'd agree with Neil's comments on the semi-final, that was excellent, as was I think it was Heat 5. A lot of the races were fast, but with no overtaking, and for my money, that's not entertainment. On the plus side, it was a very well run meeting, and I was well impressed with the slickness of it all. Congratulations also for getting the track into a rideable state, because at 5.00pm, it looked like a bomb site. So whilst I didn't really enjoy it, I don't regret going, but am thankful that I've still got some National League action to see the season out with, which once in my opinion, is far more exciting. Goodnight all.

Though I got a text saying Holder was robbed of second by the ref. ( and no I wasn't there or know how close it was) The Harris/Cov fans booing the winner is an absolute disgrace if true. Bjerre bottled it, he had a decision to make, take gate 4, and prove that this is your track, and make the start, or the easier gate, gate 2, but always a chance of messing it up, which he did. Bjerre lost out to Holder in the semi final. Twice that happened to Holder, as earlier on, he beat Nicholls aswell but the ref got that wrong aswell IMO. Bjerre didnt deserve to get into the final, it should of been Holder.
Panthers99
What was all that about? Talking about the success of this years Super Sevens, and what will happen next year, saying that people slating Adams is not on, as has been the best servant to British Speedway, sticking up for Nicholls, and saying that fans on this forum, saying that Harris wasnt riding, was very wrong. Good interview, and seems the right man for the job.

Jac
I thought Bjerre just got 3rd....and I was stood on the back straight dead opposite the finish line. Very surprised how few Poole fans turned up for this .....I saw 4!!!!! Also team managers....I only saw them from Peterborough, Ipswich and Wolves!!!! Trees
There was a pretty good crowd for the meeting which the BSPA must have been pleased to see! I thought it was strongly contested and there were quite a few "bl**dy hell that was a close one" moments as you always get at Peterborough. Such a shame Bomber didn't win it, he had to really push it in a few races to get his points which was great from our point of view, no doubt he would have liked to have got them ftg lol Freddie chose the best gate though after Bomber picked gate 4 from first pick, obviously a mistake on Bomber's part, good watching him trying to make up ground on Freddie though especially coming out of the 4th bend wooooooooo. Congratulations Freddie, who does his British club and British speedway proud every time. The semi was a fantastic race with the lead changing between Bjarne, Bjerre and Holder. Being a bit of a Holder fan I was disappointed that he didn't make it to the final but I couldn't see if he was "robbed" or not from the 2nd bend, he certainly put a big effort into getting there though whatever the outcome. I was close to the clever move that Bjarne made on Holder coming out of the 2nd bend lap 3 I think, messed him right up and put him back to third. Glad I went, racing at the Showground is fast and full on and when u have a line up of riders on a par it's the ingredients for some jaw droppingly good speedway haha
Bessiebee
Hmm I had a text from a very disgruntled Poole fan who said Holder had been robbed. Seems it was the case if a Peterborough fan agress. Chris Holder was definitely robbed twice. I was in the grandstand by the start line and he beat both Scott Nicholls and Kenneth Bjerre. The ref should certainly have gone to specsavers. Regarding booing Freddy, well we certainly didn't. Although we are huge Bomber fans we applauded Freddy as both of them were the best 2 riders on the night.
WembleyLion
Very enjoyable meeting and well done Freddie although I thought Bomber was terrific tonight. I hope all the bullsh*t, about Bomber not riding, didn't deter anyone from turning up. Edited October 16, 2010 by WembleyLion
London Witch
I must be in the minority then because I thought Bjerre beat Holder, and I am a fan of Noddys. In fact, I was so sure that I'd already filled my programme in before the official result was announced! Didn't think the Holder/Nicholls one was so clear cut though, that could have gone either way. Not a bad meeting at all, much better than the PL4s and EL pairs. Glad to see Freddie win, bet he couldn't believe his luck when Bomber gave him gate 1! Trees
I hope all the bullrubbish, about Bomber not riding, didn't deter anyone from turning up. Not bullrubbish but a misunderstanding re the line up perhaps? Didn't think the Holder/Nicholls one was so clear cut though, that could have gone either way. Isn't it time something was done about close finshes, whether it be on SKY or a live meeting the system doesn't work It's not fair at the end of the day! I was pretty sure Bjerre beat Holder from my view on the back straight. I thought Bomber would have chosen gate 1 (Red) for the final though but having looked at the wins from each gate I guess there was not much between them. Didn't hear any booing from where I was, not sure how anyone can boo that guy, as a Coventry fan watching Freddie is my guilty pleasure, congratulations to him! Bomber will win it next year! Very surprised how few Poole fans turned up for this .....I saw 4!!!!! Also team managers....I only saw them from Peterborough, Ipswich and Wolves!!!! Chris Morton was there as well with one of his sidekicks. Good meeting, the way Chris was riding I couldnt see past him, but Freddie ridden a clever race in the final. I thought bomber had the legs on him but Freddie kept putting him in the wrong places. The semi final was a brilliant race and Holder coming off after one race right in front of us was a classic, not sure how scotty stayed on but they both went right down to the line. The Holder/Bjerre incident, from where we were standing it looked like Chris got it to me, but the ref makes the calls and he said Bjerre. Close run in the end but I thought Freddie deserved it after that ride in the final.
javw
Well done Freddie. Didn't hear any booing from the grandstand. Freddie won it fair and square from the gate. Nothing there to boo about. Better luck next year Bomber.
Phil The Ace
just got back, and first of all sorry to all BSPA members, sorry to peterbrough and most of all sorry to chris bomber harris and the fans i never been as red after hoggarts interview, good interview BTW and slap on wrist taken, as trees said misunderstanding, no malice in it what so ever onto meeting, really enjoyed it, the semi was a terrifc race but why bjarne and chris never team rode is beyond me, i know its individual but it would have made a 50/50 chance of a poole rider getting a trophy well done freddie rode clever race, most enjoyable rider is harris, boy is he flying at the mo, you coventry fans are lucky
acef
Just read that Hans crashed his van, didnt realise. I looked over at the pits and from what I could see he had only one bike, so that explains it. Doesnt explain his lack of form though, really out of sorts. Pants in his first 2, was so far behind I was scratching my eyes. Think he needs to re-group over the winter. He has a very handy average now, and I cant see him at BV next year tbh but someone will have the bargain of 2011 when they sign him. Can't see Noddy complaining about being ripped off: he'd be getting used to it this year riding for the Pirates - can't wait to see him again Downunder; hopefully Fast Freddie sticks around after the Rob Woffinden meeting at Pinjar Park so's we can see him take on Batch, Darcy, Rooboy and Chris at Mildura.
