Ghostwalker
Only side Lyon could pick. None of the others can have any complaints. Bridger and Barker look out of control most of the time and Bridger can't even stay on his bike lately. Kennett has been sulking all season for some reason and looks as if he doesn't give an arse, so shouldn't be given a chance and King ain't good enough. The future looks grim. actually i think King is a better rider then Stead even if King's performance in Sweden this year isn't on level with his capacity. BigFatDave
Boycey's got a bit of tea-leaf reading or coin-tossing to do in the next coupla weeks; perm any five from Adam Shields, Davey Watt, Rory Schlein, Troy Batchelor, Darcy Ward and Chris 'The Champ' Holder, with Kevin Doolan and Travis McGowan waiting in the wings for the Kings Lynn round. On current form Darcy might be the one to miss out, perhaps. Can't see Crumpie not wanting to ride in the Play-off and/or Final, so that's another headache. With respect to Sweden and Finland, I think its between Oz & GB for the Thursday night off.
f-s-p
Finland seemed to have no trouble witht he silencers when they won the qualifying round, hopefully that will give them an advantage at Kings Lynn! Any news yet on a confirmed line up for the leijonat?? Nieminen, Kylmäkorpi, Lahti, Katajisto, Hautamäki not in riding order. Reserves: 6) Aarnio, 7) Mäkinen and 8) Siltaniemi. I'd pick him over travis. Edited July 13, 2010 by lisa-colette
foreverblue
Definately go with Darcy, gutted Crumpie and Adams not being there.
bruno
Not being silly, just stating an opinion. The Swedes could choose any five from seven. The Aussies could probably choose any five from a dozen! we can prob choose any 5 from 3 or maybe
Rob B
Spot on from Rob Lyon as Kennett, Bridger, Barker are not riding well enough to be included. If we qualify though I reckon he may drop Stead for Kennett. LOL Kennett!! Who has been terrible this year. That is the team I would have pick too, if anyone might have come in for Stead it should be Daniel King.
foreverblue
Absolutely right,Kennett has been awful as he was on telly last night getting passed by reserves.

So would BFD.Doesn't he mean any 5 from the first 6 mentioned....then the other two(travis included)

Personally, for Lynn, I would go for Holder, Batchelor, Watt, Doolan and McGowan, with Doolan & McGowan making way for Crump & Ward for the race-off - after the Brit boys beat you into second place at Lynn. All the best Rob
Bagpuss
I'm quite surprised that you've gone for two PL riders over Ward & Schlein.

foreverblue
I can't see what some people see in Mcgowan,he is in the premier because he is not good enough for the elite league any more.
Daniel Smith
I can't see what some people see in Mcgowan,he is in the premier because he is not good enough for the elite league any more. Agree, no way will Mcgowan or Doolan be anywhere near getting in the team. I see nobody has mentioned Ty Proctor. Now thats a young lad that deserves a go at No 5 and is superb round the Norfolk Arena 1, Holder 2, Watt 3, Batchelor 4, Ward 5, Proctor All have relatively recent experience of racing at the Norfolk Arena Edited July 13, 2010 by screamer
Coventry_Bee
If Team GB puts any issues aside then there is no reason we can't get through to the final 1st time round. Form riders have been picked so fingers crossed we can have a good world cup. So plssss Scott and Bomber do us a favour and act your age for this one. HenryW
Said on sky tonight Crump not riding in round one and not sure if hes going to ride in the others anyone know why Didn't see this one answered in the thread, so apologies if it has already been answered... Jason is apparently getting another operation done on his arm during the SGP break, ruling him out of the SWC matches. wotnoaj
Quite pleased with the riders Lyon has picked this time, they certainly seem the best five form wise at the moment, still not good enough to worry the major teams though. As for the Aussies, surely Shields has done enough to earn a place, he's been in great form this season.
BigFatDave
As for the Aussies, surely Shields has done enough to earn a place, he's been in great form this season. Spot on there, Pearcey - should be skipper I reckon; he's having a great season. I've gone for 5 EL heatleaders in my fantasy team; Ward, Proctor and Doyle haven't done enough in my book, plus at reserve I've gone Doolan for local knowledge & McGowan who's finally getting his confidence back after a couple of horror injuries. Luckily its up to Boycey, not me, and I'm sure he'll name a squad before the programs are printed. I'd hope Jason'll be back for the final but if he ain't, so be it. Whats the odds on Polska? speedway_dan
Get plenty of dirt down and watch Steady and the boys rip straight into the final. On overall performance's the Team GB squad picks itself.....Barker, Kennett, Bridger and King have to be more consistent.
