Custom House Kid
Did anyone watch the Cricket tonight! Young lad miss fielded and badly dislocated his shoulder. The crowd at first took the @iss but there was genuine concern after that and he got taken away on oxygen in an Ambulance. I bet none of the people watching felt good about their initial reaction but it is a natural first instinct if you feel passionate about whom you support. I have sadly witnessed, a rider killed and several badly injured in my time watching speedway. I will admit my first thought generally is that's done us a favour, normally that is quickly replaced with concern. However some crashes transcend this and no matter how passionate you feel concern will override the passion. I was not there last night a can understand the initial cheering for an opportunity for the home team. Whether I would have cheered would have been down to my perception of the incident at the time. As to whether people should shout in front of Rory’s mum, that depends if you know who she is. I have actually spoken to her a year or so ago but would not recognise her now. I just find it sad that petty squabbles should be aired on the forum.

They just sat him in a chair and left him there for the best part of twenty minutes. Couldn't believe it. OK they got a medic around to him and got his arm in a sling but there was no way he could have walked all the way around to the ambulance. They finally stopped the match to allow a buggy to go over and pick him up. He was clearly in a lot of pain but they did nothing about it for ages. Shocking stuff to be honest. Maccas
At least someone's had the guts to own up to being a scumbag. Maccas a mate of yours, SCB? Nice of you to only quote part of that sentance to back up your point. I cheered because Rory got out of shape NOT because he fell off. I also cheered when Zorro pulled up to let Stead through and had done the same a few times at Peterborough this season when opposing sides riders have pulled lockers to allow one of our guys through. Just because a rider is out of shape or pulls a locker doesn't mean that they are going to fall off, Rory was just unlucky enough to pick up more drive when out of shape which flicked him off the bike. My views on the majority of young Aussies is fairly well documented and I stand by them but to be honest Rory is one of the few Aussies that I actually like and will get behind. He has always seemed like a good lad and not an arrogant little tool. I wish no rider injury, even the riders that I truly dislike of which Rory is definately not one. Good onya, Maccas, however I'll make no excuses for quoting your exact words because that part of your post jumped out at me. I don't think I'll ever cease to be amazed at the emnity if not outright hatred that some of this forum's members evince towards Rory, if not all Aussies. Is it all down to jealousy or what? I'd doubt if any of these critics have taken the trouble to meet them; they evidently prefer to snipe from the sidelines.

Don’t be so precious Dave and don’t be so conceited that everyone’s jealous about the Aussies mate! People on the forum complain about most things ask Lee Richardson and Joe Screen! Because the Aussie lads, had a level of bravado at that point is common for Aussies as I see it. That is what made the Australian cricket team the best in the World a couple of years ago. However not backing it up with a win can leave them open to flack. Its life, get over it. Also I thought sledging was an Aussie sport. Or have you forgotten that. I hope you don’t get so chary when we take the Ashes next time mate.
DarrenCook
The usual suspects came round last night and we settled in to watch the show (again for me!) and to a man (and woman!) they were disgusted at the attitude of the so-called fans who cheered when Rory Kummagutza. GB deserved to win but let's not forget they were the only full-strength team out there Ah, the whinging ex-Pom convict! Any more excuses? Rory likes to stick his fingers up to the crowd so when he falls off it's hardly surprising people cheer.
Trees
What's he done? Last year did we do well? This year we scraped through with Crump and Adams missing. I tell you what. If we make top three on Saturday I will say he is the man for the job. Rob can't prepare and race the bikes for the riders, it's their mental attitude he can alter and they sure as hell had the right mental attitude. If at the end of the day they aren't good enough to win the final it won't be for the lack of trying. Middlo did the same too but a change was in order. AndyP
Poole 04 was the best SWC ever. I could have put money on you posting that at some point.
Steve Shovlar
I could have put money on you posting that at some point. Simply because it is true. The only thing that ruined it was the last heat.
Shortcrust
Well i enjoyed it....for me it brought back memories of a packed Saddlebow Road on a Saturday night in the 70's ...the atmosphere was brilliant, the racing was brilliant, the track was prepared well and all in all I think everyone involved with organising the event (apart from Sky who boss people around far too much lol) should be damn proud in what they achieved Monday evening. More of the same please.

iris123
Roll yer neck in.Like Lupus said.....if you were all stood next to each other and spoke to each other there was plenty of time to sort it all out amongst yersel...... Obviously no-one is going to agree or back down.My guess is you are after a holiday in Oz so are sliming up to the Schlein family If the Aarnio family was standing next to you it might be a different story. SCB
Actually ..... we were stood to your right if you were with SCB and Silver Bee so name them! who said it????? Firstly, I have no idea what anyone at any point shouted. Secondly, maybe if you answer the earlier question directed at you, you may get an answer. So you don't have to look back, the question was, who was the person from our "posse" that moved away when we cheered.

Like you say it is an open forum and i will reply to whatever i want.Love the hypocrisy that shines through your posts.Wish i had a quid for every time you told someone to "roll yer neck in" You can,but others can't? Love the hypocrisy of the ultra patriot, who goes on a long trip and buys an Aussia flag ....maybe because the Schlein family were there? This is the woman who spent donkeys years slagging off all and sundry for supporting "foreign" countries.wonder what brought about the change just as the boys are getting it together and making us all proud And i guess you were watching the race....how do you know at exactly what poitn and for exactly what reason those people cheered i wonder?Just admit you don't know and stop trying to make yourself look big.Schlein family looking in on the forum maybe?
