Why compare the SWC with overinflated Elite and premier league costs? Surely you compare it on a like for like basis. Which means this round is overproced compared to round 1, what are the charges for the run off and final?

Can't really compare it on a like for like basis if they are held in two different countries.Salaries etc are completely different. As i said earlier as they earn alot less in Poland £5 works out alot to the Polish people. And as the majority of people would be from Poland they had to do the costs accordingly.

Your point being?

Their stadiums will be better as they have major crowds over there as it is their main sport.

As i said there wages are alot lower to ours,so prices for events will be cheaper.I have a friend who i work with he is from Poland(and also a speedway fan).He seems to think Poland is as dear as Britain when you take the difference of wages into account.

the point being, Poland speedway scene is buzzing, they give the fans what they want at a VERY reasonable price. Indeed if you put the wages into proportion then that is a fair point. However not the best way to entice the Polish fans to flock here and pay our prices.

Yet they do, which just goes to show they CAN afford it.

Elite League £16.00 - 15 heats £1.06 a race

Premier League £15.00 - 15 heats £1.00 a race

World Cup £20.00 - 25 heats £0.80 a race (even better if buddy up with someone and get a family ticket £17.50 each - 25 races £0.70 a race)

Seems pretty reasonable to me. Would have been even cheaper if you had bought your tickets in advance.

And MUCH cheaper to watch in HD, thanks for the advice.

However if you'd been organised you could have got your ticket for fifteen quid before July 1st. Which for 25 SWC heats is very good value indeed, especially if you compare it to fifteen heats of league speedway in this country.

If i was organised id have gone to Poland the weekend in preference.

But sometimes work doesnt allow one to get to every match

great point.

Id like to have seen the Poles, danes and Brits introduce a price that suited ALL of the countries - not just the hosting nation.

As is usual tho - each country does its own thing, with little regard to other nations.

Im sure Kings Lynn will be packed to the rafters - but will it be sold out like in Poland??? ;)

Most of them are already here earning our wages. You only have to visit East Anglia and you will see. This is why they can afford the British GP and more.

As i said earlier i have a Polish friend from work he went to the GP at the Millenium and his friends went with him.He also met up with some of his Polish friends there and they come from Glasgow.

So i would say most of the Poles you would see at these events are actually living here and earning the wages we do.

Charges(roughly)i think are for the race-off cheapest adult £17

dearest adult £36.50

kids £8

Final cheapest adult £28

dearest adult £50.50

kids £8

I worked these from the prices given on the speedway gp website and at 8.9DKK to the Pound.

Great, so the rider were paid less in Poland then? Balls. You can and should compare like-for-like. We're being conned tonight, I say that as someone who paid £15 a few weeks back and consider it reasonable qalue compared to meeting sin this country but the SWC should cost the same in all countries.

Are you just saying speedway should cost the same in all countries or generally everthing.Because the cost of living is different in all countries.

You can go to some countries and it will be cheaper to live, and you can go to others and it will work out dearer to live.
