OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD,

I did say that we would be the dark horses for the meeting, but this victory is sweet.

Well Done Ricky and Josh, finally we have won something as and no one can claim that we had home advantage. :D :D

Well done to Sheffield but still mighty proud of the Brummies. Its always hard to win for the second year in a row so to get to the fina' itself was an excellent achievement. Thought we would'nt to get out of the group to be honest

Of course Commiserations to the Brummies, I am sure that they will go on to win some silverware this season.

Firstly, huge congratulations to Josh & Ricky on a well-deserved win.

But overall a very poor evening by this event's recent standards - Josh probably made as many passes as the rest of the field put together.

The announcers were dreadful with no info during the groups regarding the head-to-head tiebreaker (Somerset actually went through as soon as they got their 6-3 in heat 17 but we were told Newcastle still had a chance if they got the 7-2 they actually achieved in heat 19).

Meanwhile, the chip van on the 2nd bend was hopelessly understaffed & understocked as we queued from 6.55 to be told at 7.20 "chips will be 20 minutes".

Auty aside, our highlight's probably our driver nipping out during the 3rd/4th race to move his car for a much quicker getaway - he still saw the final & we were on the M5 six minutes after the chequered flag.

Well done Sheffield, in Cardiff but not there. Interesting comments, thought Somerset had got through 'cos they had more wins than Newcastle in the first round. Really rate Auty, wish he'd make a move north!

if josh was there (and winning) it would all have been from the back!!!

I think in every race he passed somebody, some races he passed 2 people, some races he even passed 3 people! He was simply stunning tonight, and Ashworth certainly played his part too.

The racing was terrific, especially later on. When Sheffield defeated Somerset in the Semi Final especially - Gathercole and Auty going right at it, swapping positions for fun and Parker nearly catching Ashworth on the line.

Brilliant night.
