Daniel Smith
It is pretty weak... However, what do you realy expect? You want Metallica / ACDC or something performing? Thats what you go to their gigs for. The main point of Cardiff is the GP itself, the "pre entertainment" is just that, the bit before it. Seriously theres only a handfull of people in the stadium to watch it anyway, and half of them dont even pay attention! It aint that bad for general background noise. Great point actually. Why not have a massive band???? Cardiff GP only attracts 40,000ish, thats 20,000 short of capacity due to 10,000 taken up by the mesh round the lower seating and if they booked someone like the Stereophonics and gave them an hour slot those extra seats would be gone in no time. i love tractors
they should put the blast from the past riders on as they are always good entertainment!
Starman2006
Seriously, you would have thought with it being the 10th aniversary the organisers would have put on something pretty special, but to me they seemed to have gone on the cheap, cost cutting mission!! Personally, i wouldn't be at all suprised if ticket sales are down on last year!
philfromcov
to be fair: who actually goes for the pre meeting stuff? no one! if you were going to get any good no one could agree with that size of crowd! so why even bother. my biggest gripe is all the people standing for the welsh anthem, im not welsh so i dont! mind you i dont stand for th British one either as im not german! lets do away with pompus rubbish like this
SimonB
I normally do go in and watch the ahem "entertainment" before the meeting but usually its more to do with enjoying the build up in the atmosphere and carrying on enjoying a few pints This time is does seem particularly weak, well to me at least, definately not to my taste. Thinking about some of the threads on here after last years GP I would like to warn everyone that I will be enjoying more than a few pre-meeting beers, I will stand and probably sing (well try to anyway), drink beer and may even spill some and wave an English flag. In fact generally I will enjoy the event.

westhamboy66
x factor rejects painful royal navy, rubbish welsh guy working mans club singer Glad to see you had a good time Bertie. Glad to see you were impressed (another thread) with the British riders efforts at singing, not to mention their riding Not sure about the need to insult Servicemen and women that serve the country and give potentially give their lives for people like you Take a tip and go and watch snooker or bowls next year if you hated it all so much
Bryn
my biggest gripe is all the people standing for the welsh anthem, im not welsh so i dont! Well I am and I do and I sing it too - a few pre-meeting Bundies helped with that! If you don't like it, flip off to your own country and hold the GP there! Sandie
Didn't see the forces do their bit but I did see some men in camouflage abseil in to the stadium - so the camouflage didn't work . But agreed with comment above - they are our service men and women and it was good to see them there. BUT - we did see the X factor singers who came across as awful. BUT are they awful or is it simply the acoustics of the stadium?
