World Under21s Meeting

It does look like this won't go ahead though as the 1pm practice was cancelled as was the 2pm and 4pm practices. FIM Jury are insisting if there's no practice then there's no meeting as 6 of the field have never ridden there before. The Club say they are happy to wait until 10pm if necessary.

Anyone know why Kyle Newman has replaced Lewis Bridger in Gorican ?

Because he was good enough to represent his Country when asked, and was happy to take his chance, while others didnt want to travel.

Thanks BobC, perhaps my question should have been 'Why hasnt Lewis Bridger travelled to Gorican?"

Good luck to Kyle whenever the meeting goes ahead.

Perhaps my reply should have been Bridger didnt want to represent his Country when asked and didnt want to travel.

Arrived at the Gorican stadium just after 7am here,,and almost certainly will be off today.Rain hasnt stopped at all overnight, and if anything is heavier now than yesterday.

Have to wait for official FIM confirmation though.

Riders have been sent away and told to reconvene at 5pm (4pm BST) for a briefing. If it doesn't go ahead today they (I presume they means the FIM and the Gorican Club) are talking of running tomorrow at 9am. Rain never eased all night and is currently heavier than yesterday. Oddly enough, it's the first rain-off in 29 meetings.

Pavlic senior reckons he can have the track ready in 1 hour IF the rain stops ! Messrs Lawrence and Castagna hoping he is right !

Well, absolutely no let up in the rain.

Cannot see any other outcome other than to go with a 9am start on Monday morning.(8am UK time)

We await the FIM verdict.Another 3 hours before riders briefing.
